Evansville Police will be closing the Lloyd Expressway from Weinbach to Garvin at 7:30 Friday night. The closure will allow crews to set the new pedestrian bridge in place on the east side of Lloyd and Hwy 41. The closure is expected to last from 7:30pm-8:00pm.
Police will be re-routing traffic onto Weinbach for westbound traffic and Garvin for eastbound traffic. Motorist are encouraged to avoid the area during those times and to plan on using alternate east/west routes. Motorists in the area should expect delays.

Evansville man wanted for May 19th Arson at eastside business
Investigators believe YOUNG entered the Speedy Oiler at 4711 Bellemeade and took items from inside. Prior to leaving the scene, YOUNG started a fire in the business. An employee found smoke in the building when they arrived at work and called 911.
YOUNG was an employee of the business at the time of the fire and developed as a suspect during the investigation.
In addition to the Arson warrant, YOUNG is has an active warrant for Bank Fraud. Anyone with information on YOUNG is asked to contact Evansville Police.
Evansville man arrested for theft from vehicles
Around 11:00 Thursday morning, police were called to the area of Englewood and Ravenswood for a report of a man getting into parked cars in the neighborhood. Police arrived and located BEASLEY in possession of items from several victims.
Police were able to locate some of the owners and return the property. The unclaimed items were collected and can be claimed by the owners.

Evansville man arrested on weapon and theft charges during domestic violence investigation
During the investigation, Officers determined JACKSON was in possession of a 9mm handgun. The gun had previously been reported stolen in Henderson KY.
The female declined to pursue charges against JACKSON, but police charged him with the felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the misdemeanor theft.
