UE Men’s Basketball to offer charter road trips

0

Seats are available on all charter flights this season

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – In April, the Purple Aces men’s basketball team went a perfect 5-0 on its way to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament Championship.  This season, the University of Evansville looks for even more and you can be there to see all of the action!

For the first time, the Aces are offering a once in a lifetime experience to travel with the team and see behind the scenes of a typical Aces Men’s Basketball road trip. Each package includes a seat on the charter jet flight, hotel accommodations, meals and ground transportation with the team, as well as a ticket to the game.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our fans to be able to travel along with our basketball team,” Director of Athletics Mark Spencer said.  “This type of experience is a rarity for fans of a Division I program.  Coming off of the CIT Championship run, we are extremely excited for this season and equally enthusiastic to offer this opportunity to our fans.”

There are a total of seven road trips that are being offered including joining the team for three games over Thanksgiving, from Nov. 24-29 in Anaheim, Ca. for the Wooden Classic for a cost of $2,500 per individual package.

Two of the higher profile games on the road this season are at SEC foe Arkansas and MVC rival Wichita State.  The Arkansas trip is from Dec. 7-8 while the trek to Wichita is January 5-6.  The cost per seat for each of those trips is $1,800.

A pair of Missouri Valley Conference tilts offer you a chance to visit two great MVC cities – Springfield, Mo. and Chicago, Ill.  You can kick off the New Year in style by heading out to Missouri State with the Aces on January 1 for a game the following afternoon.  From Feb. 13-14, join us in the windy city of Chicago to see UE take on Loyola.  Those two trips cost $1,400 per package.

The most budget friendly trips that Evansville will make are to Iowa with the first being UNI.  The Aces make their way to Cedar Falls on February 2 for a matchup against the Panthers the following day.  On Feb. 16, UE flies to Des Moines toplay Drake on the 17th.  Those two trips cost only $1,000 per person.

Great deals are being offered by the team if you go on more than one trip.  You can pick one of either Arkansas/Wichita State along with one of UNI/Drake and receive $200 off of that total price.  Three-pack options are also available.  That deal lets you pick one of Arkansas/Wichita State, one of Loyola/Missouri State and one of the Iowa trips to receive $300 off of that total price.  If you want to take all six trips (not including Wooden Classic) with the Aces, the total cost would be just $7,500, a savings of $900.

Seats are filling up fast, so do not delay. For more information or to purchase your seats, contact Kim Gentry at 812-488-2762 or kg22@evansville.edu.
