On Thursday, September 3, Facebook’s Small Business Boost will travel to Evansville, Ind., to connect local small businesspeople with the tools they need to boost their businesses using Facebook.

The event will be co-hosted by the Southwest Indiana Chamber, with Congressman Larry Bucshon welcoming entrepreneurs.

“Effectively and efficiently reaching consumers is critical for Hoosier small businesses looking to grow and create jobs here in Southern Indiana,” said Congressman Larry Bucshon. “For most people, Facebook is integrated in our everyday lives and provides a great opportunity for businesses to communicate and connect with the community.  I’m thankful that the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Facebook are partnering to help equip entrepreneurs with the tool necessary to harness their full potential. I look forward to helping kick off this great event.”

The Small Business Boost seminar will include a presentation by a Facebook small business expert on the latest Facebook best practices and strategies for success. A Q&A panel will follow, featuring local small businesses that will share their tips, tricks and suggestions. The panelists are representing the following local small businesses: bakery Gigi’s Cupcakes, remanufactured engines and engine service shop nFlow, full service repair, fabrication and machine shop Nix Welding and animal shelter Vanderburgh Humane Society.
