IS IT TRUE every now and than our posters make allegations that local elected officials allegedly accepts free services, bribes or special favors, bribes, conflict of interest that get our attention?  …we asked our #1 poster Pressanykey to do research on the procedure for recalling elected officials who misuse their office for self gain?

IS IT TRUE Pressanykey research cane up with;  “Indiana does not have a procedure for recalling elected officials, but it does have a statutory method for initiating impeachment proceedings against local officials?  …the County grand jury and court system can conducts the proceedings and subsequent removal. {IC 5-8-1 and IC 35-50-5-1.1} of elected official who accept bribes or special favors?  …any official convicted of official misconduct, bribery, or conflict of interest may be removed from office by a court?  …the court may also issue an order rendering the person ineligible from holding public office for a period of up to ten years. {IC 35-50-5-1-1}”?

IS IT TRUE if anyone have allegations of misconduct, bribery, or conflict of interest concerning any elected or appointed official they would have to contact the local County Prosecutor first?  … he would decide whether to present the information to the County Grand Jury, and things would proceed from there depending on the Grand Jury’s return on the issue?

IS IT TRUE yesterday one of our readers also made an allegation against a local law enforcement officer that he alleges have been taken on several free paid vacation trips?  …our reader also alleged that the person providing the free vacation trip to a local law enforcement official does business with the city?  …after reading the State Guide To County Government it looks like the allegation against  law enforcement official can be proven he may have broken State Law?

This view of Evansville’s riverfront was probably photographed from the top of the Pagoda shelter house in Sunset Park, which had been built a year earlier. City officials were attempting to develop and beautify the park, but the weather was not cooperating. In that year, flood waters reached Riverside Drive and deposited debris along the riverfront. A cannon from the Civil War era is still visible near the boat at left, and on the far right is the Gilbert Sanitarium, which was acquired by the Hadi Shriners in the early 1920s.

ANOTHER CHANCE FOR ANIMALS, INC TO HOST 2nd ANNUAL “PAWS FOR A CAUSE BIG SHOW EXTRAVAGANZA”

Another Chance for Animals, Inc. will host “Paws for a Cause Big Show Extravaganza” on Saturday, March 12, 2015 beginning at 5:00PM to raise funds for the rescue.  Another Chance for Animals is dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless animals in the area, working diligently to find forever homes and loving families for these animals.  This year’s event will be held at the Tropicana Evansville Executive Conference Center in Walnut A & B.  The fundraising event will feature musical entertainment by the Allen Tate & Chuck Gee Duo, Tom Small, Nick Hamilton, Tony Henning and Jenny’s Bad Hair Day.  Comedian Gavin Eddings will entertain the crowd with the performance of a solo improv act.  In addition, there will be a cocktail hour, silent auction and a delicious meal.

USI GUY NOTCHES PROVISIINAL MARK IN MILE

USI’s Guy notches provisional mark in mile

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind.—Senior All-American Johnnie Guy (Palmyra, Indiana) recorded an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the mile to lead the No. 14 University of Southern Indiana men’s track & field team in its Indoor season-opener Saturday at the Little Giant Open.

Guy finished first in the event with a time of four minutes, 15.22 seconds, less than a second ahead of fellow classmate and All-American Tyler Pence (Springfield, Illinois), who was second with a time of 4:16.11. Junior Josh Guy (Palmyra, Indiana) also posted a top-five finish in the event as he crossed the tape in fourth place.

As a team, the Screaming Eagles recorded nine top-five performances on the day, with junior thrower Micheal Hammonds (Evansville, Indiana) finishing with second-place efforts in both the shot put and the weight throw.

Sophomores Jesse Stanley (Chandler, Indiana) and James Cecil (Owensboro, Kentucky) were third and fourth, respectively, in the 3,000 meters, while freshmen Aaron Pierrard (Cannelton, Indiana) and Tyler Kruse (Fort Branch, Indiana) were third and fifth, respectively, in the 800 meters. Junior Jalen Madison (Washington, Indiana) rounded out the Eagles’ top-five efforts with a fourth-place showing in the weight throw.

USI returns to action January 22-23 when it competes at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana, and the University of Indianapolis Collegiate Invitational in Indianapolis.

BACK TO BACK SELL OUTS FOR JASON ALDEAN AT FORD CENTER

Country superstar, Jason Aldean entertained his fans just like he did before, as his last two trips to Evansville, IN were sell outs at Ford Center. Downtown Evansville was thriving as thousands of people were walking the streets headed to Ford Center. This year’s tour was “We Were Here Tour” with special guests Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. Evansville was only the second performance of this tour and each act sure knew how to please a full house. A Thousand Horses started with singing cover songs with their songs in the mix. Thomas Rhett took selfies with dozens of fans cell phones and Jason Aldean capped off the night with a fantastic show and theatrics including colored lasers.

“It’s great to have Jason Aldean return for a second time and have another sell out at the Ford Center,” stated Executive Director, Scott Schoenike.

Upcoming shows at Ford Center include: 40th Annual World Series Motorcycles on Ice January 23, Winter Jam January 28, Luke Bryan February 18 and WWE February 28.

Indiana offers you the ability to submit your voter registration application online. • be a citizen of the United States,
• be at least 18 years old on the day of the next general, municipal, or special election,
• have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next general, municipal, or special election (except for certain military voters); and
• not currently be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.

In order to register online, you must also possess a current and valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana State identification card. The State of Indiana will use your digitized signature on-file with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as your voter registration signature. Only the voter registration information you provide and your digitized signature will be sent to your county voter registration office upon concluding the online voter registration application process.
