No. 3 IU Swimming & Diving Ready for NCAA Championships
The No. 3-ranked Indiana University men’s swimming & diving team heads to Minneapolis, Minn. this week for the 2018 NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
The four-day meet gets underway on Wednesday night at the IU Natatorium with the finals of the 800 freestyle relay at 7:00 p.m. ET. The next three days will feature prelims beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET, with finals following at 7:00 p.m. ET. Diving trials and consolation finals will begin following swimming prelims Thursday through Saturday.

All prelim sessions and finals on Wednesday and Thursday night will be streamed live for free on BTN2Go.com. Thursday and Friday night finals will be streamed live on WatchESPN.
Qualified Hoosiers
Indiana will send a total of 14 swimmers and divers to Minneapolis, Minn. this week for the NCAA Championships. Along with the individual events, the Hoosiers will also swim in all five relays.
IU has posted some of the best times in the nation this year, earning an impressive 12 top-16 marks in individual events, including 10 top-five times. Leading the way is Ian Finnerty, who will be the top-seed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the No. 16 seed in the 200 IM.
Vini Lanza earned the No. 1 seed in the 200 butterfly, the No. 2 seed in the 100 butterfly and the No. 4 seed in the 200 IM for the Hoosiers. Blake Pieroni will be the No. 2 seed in the 200 freestyle and the No. 4 seed in the 100 freestyle, while Levi Brock is the second-best qualifier in the 100 breast and the seventh-best in the 200 breast.
Freshman Gabriel Fantoni earned the No. 3 seed in the 100 backstroke, while Mohamed Samy is the No. 5 seed in the 200 freestyle and the No. 8 in the 200 backstroke. Freshman Bruno Blaskovic will be the No. 14 seed in the 100 free.
April Public Meeting for the Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden Advisory Board

Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth At Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate
The University of Evansville women’s golf team earned an eighth-place finish at the Bobby Nichols Invitational at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
In the final round of the three-day tournament, the Purple Aces recorded a team score of 330 for a total of 973 (330 – 313 – 330), putting the Aces in eighth. Jacksonville State won the intercollegiate with a three-round total of 902 (299 – 306 – 297), finishing with an 11-stroke advantage over second-place Marshall.
Sophia Rohleder paced Evansville with a 232 (80 – 74 – 78), placing her in a tie for 16th after the three-round tournament. On the final day of the intercollegiate, Rohleder carded a 78, moving the freshman up a spot in the final standings.
Following Rohleder for the Aces was Madison Chaney who finished in a tie for 31st. Chaney opened the tournament with a 78 and 77 over the first two rounds before finishing the competition wit an 85 for a three-round total of 240. Three strokes back of Chaney was Minka Gill, who bounced back with back-to-back 78s to close the tournament. After an opening-round 87, Gill used the consecutive rounds of 78 to move her up 10 spots in the final standings into a tie for 40th with a three-day total of 243.
Aces Giulia Mallmann and Lexie Sollman finished the intercollegiate with identical three-round totals of 262, earning the pair a tie for 50th. Mallmann wrapped-up the tournament with a 90 in the final round, while Sollman tallied an 89 on the final day.
The Aces are next in action March 26 and 27 at the Arkansas Little Rock Intercollegiate Maumelle Country Club in Maumelle, Ark.
Pyland-Tipmore joins First Security Bank as AVP-Banking Center Manager
Jackie Pyland-Tipmore has been named Assistant Vice President – Banking Center Manager at First Security Bank. She will be managing the South Frederica Branch, located at 3560 Frederica Street.

- College Prep Camp (9th-12th grade)

This camp is designed for high school players aspiring to play at the college level. Advanced individual skills and elite game-like drills will be the main focus of this camp. For each camp, participants will be placed into groups of similar experience and skill, making sure that all campers are able to maximize their potential in accordance to their development phase and age.
