There Is No Moral Equivalence Between The Palestinians And Israel By Richard Moss MD
There Is No Moral Equivalence BetweenÂ
The Palestinians And Israel
By Richard Moss MD
On May 14 2018, the 70th anniversary of the birth of the state of Israel, a modern day miracle, the US under President Donald Trump, fulfilled a promise made by Congress in the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act, passed by a 95-3 vote in the Senate to move our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the eternal capitol of the Jewish people. That bill unfortunately came with a Presidential waiver, and every President since including Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Hussein Obama promised to move the US embassy to Jerusalem but failed to do so. Only one, Donald Trump, a modern day Cyrus and eternal friend of Israel and the Jewish people, kept his promise.Â
Simultaneously, 45 miles away from the festivities in Jerusalem, at the Gaza border with Israel, the so-called “March of Return,†an annual event inaugurated in 1998 by arch-terrorist Yassir Arafat, had been going on for weeks and culminated on May 14. It commemorated what the Palestinians call the “Nakba†or “Catastrophe,†their self-pitying interpretation of Israel Independence Day. Fifty thousand Palestinians, most of them Hamas terrorists, attempted to breach the border with Israel, for the purpose of killing or kidnapping Jews in neighboring Israeli villages. Women and children, the “human shields†Hamas is famous for, accompanied the marchers to maximize civilian casualties for the compliant press. Â
The peaceful Marchers, as instructed, brought guns, knives, pipe bombs and grenades and hid them under their clothing. They also brought fire-kites to inflict damage on Israeli fields and crops. More than 60 of the invading Palestinian terrorists were killed at the border, dutifully reported with glaring split screen images of the chaos in Gaza and the events in Jerusalem, designed to tarnish the embassy event, President Trump, and Israel.Â
Israel abandoned Gaza in 2005, every Jew dead or alive, including those buried, were evacuated. Israel left behind elaborate greenhouse and other infrastructure and synagogues, all which were destroyed in scenes reminiscent of Kristallnacht. In 2006, Palestinians in Gaza voted in Hamas over the Palestinian Authority. In June of 2007, Hamas launched their military takeover of Gaza, killing hundreds of their Muslim brothers in the Palestinian Authority by dragging them through the streets chained to cars, throwing them off roofs, or shooting them in the head in front of their wives and children.Â
Hamas is a terrorist organization, recognized as such by the US and the European Union. They call openly for the destruction of the state of Israel and do not recognize the right of Israel to exist within any borders. They are the Palestinian offshoot of the Muslim brotherhood and as such do not seek only the destruction of Israel but all of Christendom and Western civilization including the US, and the establishment of a global caliphate. Since taking over Gaza, they have done nothing to help their citizens build the institutions of a civil society, to promote normal democratic discourse, or to develop a free market economy, preferring instead welfare dependency based on international aid. In the process, they have inflicted great suffering on their citizens, running what is in effect an open-air prison state for 2 million people. There is high unemployment and poverty, poor sanitation, and inadequate healthcare. Gaza, with its proximity to Israel’s high-tech economy, ports, trade, beaches, and tourism, and a willingness by the nations of the world, business interests, and aid-organizations to help them develop their private sector, should have been Singapore on the Mediterranean. Instead it is Afghanistan. Israel blockades Gaza because Hamas is an Iranian backed terrorist organization that engages in acts of terror. They use their assets and plentiful aid to build tunnels, fire missiles at Israeli civilians, and breach borders with armies of armed terrorists to kill, main, and kidnap. Egypt blockades them for the same reason. Â
Israel is a first world nation that provides for its citizens the highest standard of living in the Middle East, equivalent to that of Western Europe. It is an open democracy governed consensually by the rule of law, with human rights, free speech, religious freedom, a free press, and a world-class free market economy. It boasts the best hospital, universities, museums, and symphonies in the world, and leads the planet in any number of cutting edge technologies. Its more than one million Israeli-Arab citizens are the freest Muslims in the Middle East. None are interested in joining their Muslim brethren under the benighted Palestinian Authority or Hamas, preferring instead to keep their citizenship in the Jewish State – for good reason. Â
Hamas, on the other hand, like its secular terrorist counterpart in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), the Palestinian Authority, are corrupt, kleptocratic, genocidal extremists. Of all the nationalist movements around the world, the Palestinians, Hamas or the PA, are the least deserving of a state – and should not be given one. The world scarcely needs another dysfunctional, terrorist regime. There is no difference between either of them and ISIS or Al-Qaeda except that for “intersectional†and anti-Semitic purposes, they enjoy good press from a left-dominated media – as long as it is Jews engaging them. Â
The Assad regime, for example, in the ongoing Syrian Civil War, have killed thousands of Palestinians in the Yarmouk Refugee Camp in Damascus, the largest Palestinian refugee community in Syria, transforming it into a “death camp,†engaging in wanton acts of barbarity far worse than anything Israel has ever committed. But you never heard about this because it involved Arabs killing Arabs – not Jews, and therefore of no interest to the Left, because it doesn’t fit their narrative.Â
There is one card the Palestinian Jihadists know they can always play. That is the support and positive spin of their egregious behavior by the international left including the media, the EU, UN, the US Democrat Party, and many liberal-leftist American Jews and their various anti-Zionist organizations (J-Street, Jewish Voice For Peace, and many others). Â
They will discredit the Israelis, delegitimize them, hold them to an impossible double standard, and continually advance the Hamas narrative of brutal IDF soldiers cutting down innocent, defenseless Palestinian Muslims – despite Israel having the most moral and honorable military in the world, one that goes well beyond any other fighting force to protect innocent life, often at huge costs to its own soldiers.Â
The media and their political functionaries thus create and perpetuate the crisis. By supporting the Jihadist narrative, they encourage more of the same and avoid putting pressure on Palestinians to create a functioning, viable state. The media and the rest of the anti-Israel cabal can be relied on to defend genocidal Islamic terrorists.
Hamas sees dead Palestinians as a photo-op. No media, no dead Palestinians. Yes, our media and their allies have blood on their hands, rivers of blood, most of it Palestinian. It is they, not Israel, who prolong the agony, suffering, and death.Â

More than 150 lawyers suspended for fee, CLE violations
Il for www.theindianalawyer.com
More than 150 attorneys in the state and across the country currently cannot practice law in Indiana after they were suspended for failure to pay their annual fees, comply with annual continuing legal education requirements or both.
The Indiana Supreme Court suspended 158 attorneys on Thursday for failure to comply with Indiana Admission and Discipline 2, related to annual registration fees, 2(f), related to IOLTA certification, and 29 sections 3 or 10, related to annual CLE requirements. Among the attorneys suspended, 87 are based in Indiana and 71 are in other states.
The suspension order stipulates that for purposes of reinstatement procedures, the suspensions are effective immediately. However, to allow time for the order to be copied and acted upon, the proscription of legal services in Indiana will begin at 12:01 a.m. on June 29. Suspended attorneys who wish to be reinstated must comply with the applicable reinstatement procedures, Admission and Discipline Rules 2(h) and 29, section 10(b).
The Indiana Office of Admissions and Continuing Education granted certain attorneys extensions of time to comply with the CLE rules, so the names of those attorneys do not appear on the list.

JUST IN: STAN LEVCO ANNOUNCES THAT HE IS RUNNING FOR VANDERBURGH COUNTY PROSECUTOR
Stan Levco Announces Bid for November 2018
While making the announcement, Levco called out current Republican Prosecutor Nick Hermann, claiming he has been ineffective in the courtroom.
According to Levco, Herman’s last seven and a half years in office have been unacceptable.
Levco boasted his own record in court, saying he has tried more than 20 murder cases and got guilty verdicts in each case.
Nick Hernamm has yet to comment on the recent announcement.
STAN LEVCO TO RUN FOR VANDERBURGH COUNTY PROSECUTOR
STAN LEVCO FOR PROSECUTOR-A MAN OF CONVICTIONÂ
(Vanderburgh County Democratic Party News Release as of June 7, 2018)
I’m Stan Levco and I am running for Prosecutor of Vanderburgh County.
I’ve chosen to make my announcement in this courtroom to emphasize the difference between me and Mr. Hermann in the courtroom.
Mr. Hermann took office 7 1â„2 years ago after having been found to be ineffective in trial by the Indiana Court of Appeals. I don’t know of any other attorney in Vanderburgh County, who has had a case reversed because of his incompetence in the courtroom.
His record and his office’s record has confirmed the Court of Appeals finding of ineffectiveness.
Since 2016, his office has tried 92 jury trials. The jury returned not guilty verdicts in41 of those cases. That’s 45%, not guilties and that doesn’t count 12 other verdicts where the defendant was found guilty of a lesser charge, such as the Aleah Beckerle case.
That’s unacceptable. Vanderburgh County deserves better than that. I can do and I have done much better than that.
The murder rate in Vanderburgh County has increased dramatically the past few years. Last year in 2017 it was the highest number of murders ever. This year may break that record.
And if you can’t convict someone charged with murder and that person goes out and murder other people, that directly affects the murder rate.
During my time as Vanderburgh County Prosecutor, I tried over 20 murder cases. In every one, the Defendant was convicted of murder, as charged.
Vanderburgh County needs a Prosecutor who knows how to get convictions and knows how to direct a staff who can be successful in the courtroom.
One thing I believe Mr. Hermann has done well is to promote himself. He’s buried ineffectiveness of his office in commercials, publicity efforts, and We Tip promotions. It doesn’t matter how many tips he gets if he can’t convict.
But the primary job of Prosecutor should be for him and his staff to effectively prosecute criminals and as Prosecuting Attorney, I will devote my efforts to an effective prosecution, not self-promotion.
In the next 5 months, I will be contrasting the difference between me and
Mr. Hermann and I believe after the voters have examined our records, they will decide it’s time to restore competence to the Prosecutor’s Office.

Late Grand Slam Propels Otters Past Grizzlies
A Trae Santos single in the top of the first inning scored Artemis Kadkhodian to give the Grizzlies a 1-0 lead.
Gateway doubled their lead in the second on a Kevin Martir RBI single.
The Otters mounted a late rally in the eighth. With one out, Ryan Long began the charge with a sharp single to right. David Cronin then walked, and after a Toby Thomas fly out to left, Jeff Gardner walked to load the bases. On an 0-1 pitch, Travis Harrison drilled a home run, his third of the year, over the left field wall for a grand slam, putting the Otters up 4-2.
Mitch Aker came on to shut the door in the ninth, recording two strike outs en route to his league leading eighth save of the season.
Otters starter Luc Rennie receives a no-decision despite a stellar outing. Rennie went seven innings and struck out a career high 11 batters while giving up just two runs.
Kyano Cummings earns his first win of the year after pitching a scoreless eighth.
Mike Elwood receives a no decision for the Grizzlies despite throwing 6.1 innings of shutout baseball and allowing only three hits.
Colton Freeman is saddled with the loss after being charged with three of the four runs in the eighth inning.
The rubber match of the series will be Thursday, June 7 at 6:35 p.m. at Bosse Field.
Tomorrow will be the first Thirsty Thursday of the year with special price drafts brought to you by Working Distributors.
