Indiana University postgraduate swimmer Zach Apple continued to dominate at the 2019 World University Games on Monday in Napoli, Italy.
Apple won his third gold medal of the week, touching first in the Championship Final of the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.01. The Hoosier previously won gold in the 200 freestyle and 4×100 freestyle relay for Team USA earlier in the week.
Ian Finnerty qualified third overall for Tuesday’s Championship Final of the men’s 50 breaststroke with a time of 27.32.
Kennedy Goss continued her great week at the World University Games, as the IU postgraduate swimmer for Team Canada qualified seventh overall for Tuesday’s Championship Final of the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.49.
In the prelims of the men’s 200 backstroke, current Hoosier and Team Brazil swimmer Gabriel Fantoni placed 27th overall with a time of 2:04.23.

Newburgh, IN. – Gary Lee Moesner, 74, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.
Gary was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 11, 1944 to the late James and Helen (Powers) Moesner.
Gary proudly served in the United States Army. He was proud to say he worked for his wife as a deputy clerk while Judy served two terms as Clerk of the Spencer County Court from 1993 – 2001. He was Past Commander of the American Legion Post #200 in Boonville, Indiana and a 34 year member. Gary was a member of Voiture #471 of 40 & 8, and the VFW Post # 3418 of Boonville. He owned and operated a farm for many years and was a parts manager at Miller and Oschman, Case International dealership in Boonville, Indiana. He was a long time member of the Midway United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister.
Gary is survived by his wife of 51 year, Judy Moesner of Newburgh, IN; son, Matthew Moesner of St. Louis, MO.
Services will be 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor Adrienne Tanner officiating. Burial will be at Midway Cemetery in Midway, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the funeral home and again from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday.

Evansville Police are trying to locate a missing adult. Michael Kidder was last seen in late May. He moved out of a relative’s house and has not been in contact with family since he left.Â
Mr. Kidder is not believed to be in danger, but his family believes he is suffering from depression. Mr. Kidder is 39 years old. He is 6’04â€/ 200lbs. Please contact police if you know where he can be located.Â
Tennyson, IN. – Walter Noel Morphew Jr., 71, of Tennyson, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Walter was born in Dawson Springs, Kentucky on May 19, 1948 to the late Walter Noel Sr. and Helen L. (Enright) Morphew.
He was a long time member of True Life General Baptist Church in Dale, Indiana. Walter retired after 50 years as a long haul truck drive. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening , and his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Paul David Morphew; wife, Janet Morphew.
Walter is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson of Tennyson, IN; children, Jordan Wilson of Tennyson, IN; James Wilson of Tennyson, IN; Keyan Morphew of Tennyson, IN; Joey Askins of Evansville, IN; Angie Dillard of Evansville, IN; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Faye Paddock (Forrest) of Evansville, IN; Sandy Overbey (Jim) of Boonville, IN; William Morphew (Joanna) of Minnesota; Sharon Roth of Jockey, IN; Donald Morphew (Pamela) of Evansville, IN; Timothy Morphew (Joyce) of Goshen, KY; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Elva Harris and Butch Stotlar; dog, Lady.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jarrett Austin Orange, 51, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 5th 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He graduated from Boonville High School in 1986. He was a truck driver, who, despite his inability to continue on in his career, never lost his passion for it. Jarrett was a man who knew how to tell an amazing story that would always result in many laughs.
Jarrett is predeceased by his mother, Brenda Orange, and father, Jerry Orange.
He is survived by his best friend and wife, Angela Orange of Newburgh, Indiana; he will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Katlynn Orange and Kristina Orange; son, Jose Hernande; granddaughter, MaraBelle Orange; sisters, Cheryl (Michael) Nash, and Becky (Joe) Rohrscheib; brother, Brian (Stacey) Orange; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will take place at Koehler Funeral Home, 304 East Main Street, Boonville, Indiana, at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10th 2019. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am the same day.
