IS IT TRUE that the CCO “Working Outside The Box” speakers series  has been a phenomenal success? …this week presentation was by local business icon John Dunn was amazing? …John took the luncheon attendees through an enlightening journey of successes and failures that he experienced throughout his illustrious business career?  … when he finished his emotional and touching presentation he received a well-deserved standing ovation?

IS IT TRUE on October 25, 2019, the City-County Observer will be hosting its annual “Community Service Awards” luncheon at the Tropicana-Evansville?  … the CCO will be announcing their luncheon guest speaker next week and they guarantee that it will impress many CCO supporters.

IS IT TRUE that former Olympian Anne Audain has a “Lion Heart”?  …that she was adopted at birth and overcame reconstructive surgery on both feet as a teenager and left home to become a champion athlete and pioneer in women sports? …she set a World Record in the 5000 meters in1982?  …she was a six-time Olympic Qualifier?  …she was honored by Queen Elizabeth 11 as a member of the British Empire for her service to athletic worldwide? …Anne was inducted into the Running USA Hall of Champions in 2008 and was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall Of Fame in 2008?  … we highly recommend that area High Schools and College athletic departments seek her guidance and professional mentoring in order to help their Cross County teams to become more competitive?

IS IT TRUE as of today the City Of Evansville has a $4 million-plus financial deficit because of un-paid City employees health care insurance bills?  …all we hear from our elected officials about this serious financial problem are the sound of crickets?  …we are surprised that we haven’t a peep from Mayor’s political opponents concerning this issue?

IS IT TRUE we would like to congratulate local TV Channel 44 News for doing in-depth investigative article concerning the financial foes of the University Of Evansville?  …this a developing story?

IS IT TRUE we been told that Ben Trockman the First Ward candidate for City Council is having an impressive political fundraiser on October 3rd?  …that some of the sponsors for this event are well known Republicans?  …they are the O’Daniel family, Jacob and Holly Pendleton, Kyle and Kristin Fields. Wade and Katie Lowhorn?

IS IT TRUE when one is invited to a free lunch what do they order to drink?  …he orders two (2) pricey double cappuccinos on the house?  …we bet when he pay for his own lunch he orders water?

IS IT TRUE we wonder when the Republican-controlled State Legislature is going to approve a pedestrian bridge for Evansville Bosse High school students?

IS IT TRUE that is was announced yesterday that the 80% vacant Old National Bank Building located at 420 Main street has a new owner?  …according to the Evansville Courier and Press Joshua Armstrong, President of the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District said: “that a market study was commissioned by the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District showed a need for additional 1200 units in Downtown, along with Class A office and quality retail and restaurant space.”  …that the new owners of this building are projecting that the construction costs of this multi-use facility will be around $30 million dollars?  …we wonder if Mr. Armstrong used free grant money from the Evansville DMD or ERC coffers to attract the developer to commit to this big-ticket project?

IS IT TRUE it would have made better business sense if the President of the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District would have commissioned a marketing study to see how his organization can reduce the current surplus of vacant store fronts, office and apartment vacancies in downtown Evansville?

IS IT TRUE we wonder when will the small business owners on the Northside, Westside, Eastside, and Center City are going to demand that the Evansville DMD or the ERC gives them facade grants, advance them seed money to purchase or renovate property or give them extremely low-interest loans for a loft apartments or reduced the taxes for their development?

IS IT TRUE yesterday Congressman Larry Bucshon sent out an urgent appeals letter asking you to donate your hard money to fight the possible impeachment of President Trump?  …Congressman Bucshon said: “The Democrats are so desperate to impeach President Trump at any cost, they will do whatever it takes”. I need your help to fight back!  …Congressman Bucshon also said: “I’m calling on every supporter to make their voice heard and donate whatever you can right now, so we can send the strongest message possible that we will NOT stand for this type of attack on the very foundation of our country! Can I count on you to chip in $50, $25 or $10″?    …all we can say to Congressmen Bucshon passionate plea to raise money for President Trump legal fees is that they will most likely be covered by the Washington D.C. insiders and special interest groups?

What amazes me as a guy who ran from the outside to shake the system up is how often that dynamic is still in place here. Ever since Donald Trump was elected President they’ve been trying to impeach him, and all I can tell you is all the things he’s accomplished since he’s been there get no credit.

The Democrats’ platform is free college, Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal, forgive all college debt, and by the way, let’s get rid of the electoral college: it’s embarrassing.

We know they hate the idea of an outsider for President, but from day one they’ve been trying to get him and what’s amazing to me is that they do the official impeachment inquiry even before the information comes out, all based on a hearsay whistleblower report that was a big nothing-burger.

What surprised me most was that the hearsay whistleblower report hadn’t even hit the pavement before they started the impeachment inquiry.

From day one, they could not get over the fact that an outsider entrepreneur got through to become President, kind of like what I did when I ran the gauntlet to become senator, and they’ll never get over it.

When they play their card so far in advance of whatever it is they’re talking about, it looks foolish. This one fell with a thud even more than what they’ve done before and I think it’s really going to drill into the minds of voters who are still making up their minds.

Why are they doing this? They’re doing it because they’ve tried to do it from the get-go to distract from a platform that looks like it could do them in on its own.
