CASTING CROWNS HEADLINES 2021 K-LOVE CHRISTMAS TOUR

Evansville, IN – The 2021 K-LOVE Christmas Tour will stop in Evansville on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Old National Events Plaza. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, July 23 at 10 AM and are available at oldnationaleventsplaza.com or in person at the Old National Events Plaza Box Office.

Tickets start as low as $23.75 each plus applicable fees. The tour will be headlined by GRAMMY® Award winning group Casting Crowns and joined by special guests Mac Powell, Cain, Dante Bowe and Jordan St. Cyr. Audiences will be sure to experience an evening of holiday music and fan favorites for the entire family, celebrating the reason for the season.

ZZ Top concert at the Ford Center 7/21 Canceled

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this Wednesday’s performance at the Ford Center in Evansville, IN on the current “A Celebration with ZZ Top” tour has been canceled.  Tickets for the concert will be refunded.

OTTERS, MINERS MATCHUP SUNDAY POSTPONED

Sunday’s game between the Southern Illinois Miners and the Evansville Otters has been postponed due to inclement weather and wet field conditions.

 

The game will be made up with a doubleheader Saturday, July 31 at 5:05 p.m. when the two clubs meet again at Bosse Field.

Fans with tickets can call (812) 435-8686 for more information. Tickets can be exchanged for a future Otters’ regular season home game.

The Otters will carry their 28-18 record into their road trip this week against Windy City and Gateway.

June Indiana Employment Report

INDIANAPOLIS (July 16, 2021) – Indiana’s unemployment rate stands at 4.1 percent for June, and the national rate is 5.9 percent. The monthly unemployment rate is a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicator that reflects the number of unemployed people seeking employment within the prior four weeks as a percentage of the labor force.

Indiana’s labor force had a net increase of 4,148 over the previous month. This was a result of an increase of 3,014 unemployed residents and an increase of 1,134 employed residents.

Indiana’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.35 million, and the state’s 63.2 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 61.6 percent.

Employment by Sector

Private sector employment has increased by 123,500 over the year and increased by 8,900 over the previous month. The monthly increase is primarily due to gains in the Leisure and Hospitality (8,300) and the Manufacturing (4,400) sectors. Gains were offset by losses in the Professional and Business Services (-2,900) and the Construction (-1,900) sectors. Total private employment stands at 2,628,600, which is 111,900 below the December 2019 peak.
