The Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy will be graduating 9 new Law Enforcement officers this afternoon.
The 2:00pm ceremony will be held at the Old National Bank Events Plaza and is open to the public.
The graduating Officers are:
Herbert Adams EPD
Ahmed Afifi EPD
Nathan Jones EPD
Mario Reid EPD
Ray Smith EPD
Matt Taylor EPD
Andrew Bunys Warrick County Sheriff’s Office
Robert Garza Austin PD

  1. Had a chance to work with these gentlemen during a joint PD/FD training session, and I was impressed with their work ethic and obvious motivation to be good officers. Good luck to them all!

    Congratulations for graduating and agreeing to police our community. I hope it is a charge each & every one of you take serious.
    Because of your extensive training you know better than most the dangers in our community. Be careful & work smart & have each others back.
    The best officers I know are those that build good relationships with everyone they come in contact with, especially criminals. Treat them with dignity & not like the piece of dirt many will prove to be & you may have an asset later on to assist on really serious crime.
    Stay safe out there & thanks in advance for helping to keep us safe.

  3. Hopefully these officers don’t subscribe to the “to patronize and annoy” slogan. Also hopefully they’re not philanderers. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt I guess.
