NBC has already projected a win for Evansville’s Richard Mourdock over 6-Term Senator Richard Lugar. Early returns show Mourdock with a 20 point lead with 17% of the vote counted. The vote in SW Indiana where Mourdock calls home has not been counted yet but is expected to increase Mourdocks margin of victory.

  1. let me start by saying that i have never voted for mr. lugar.let me also say that as an old timey democrat i have always had respect for that old timey republican. he always fought hard, but fair. to us old timers, hard but fair fights earned grudging respect. too bad this mook that’s replacing mr. lugar can’t even spell respect, much less earn any. goodbye dick lugar, and may your retirement be a long and healthy one.

    • Let me finish by saying that as an older man than Jack, and a Democrat at least as long, I pulled a Republican ballot in this primary for the very first time in my life, and voted for Dick Lugar a little out of fear of knowing his opponent’s political type, but mostly out of respect for Senator Lugar.

  2. Looks like the CCO only political endorsement in the Primary today proved to be the right one. Oh did you know that the CCO was the first area media to support Mr. Mourdock for United Staes Senate. Job well done CCO!

  3. This is truly a sad thing. I have no positive impressions about Mr. Mourdock and see very poor representation for Indiana in our future unless the Democratic candidate prevails in November. And I don’t know anything about the Democratic candidate.

  4. LOL at all the sad Democrats commenting on a Republican primary.

With friends like these, is it any wonder old man Lugar lost?

  5. Blame Mr. Vanderburg County Tea Party Chairman for encouraging Mourdock to run for this seat against Lugar. Oh, his name is Frank Peterlin!

    • I doubt that Mourdock has based any of his decisions on anything Frank Peterlin has said…
