Indiana State Police arrested a 26-year-old Mt. Vernon man yesterday afternoon after a criminal investigation revealed he had sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.
Indiana State Police Detective Alan Sherretz initiated a criminal investigation on February 6 after receiving information Andrew Williams, 26, had been having sexual relations with a 14-year-old Posey County girl. During the investigation, Detective Sherretz revealed Williams had sexual relations with the teen on multiple occasions between April and September 2014.
Yesterday afternoon at approximately 5:00, Indiana State Police arrested Williams at his residence without incident. He was taken to the Posey County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
