DEMOCRATS: WORKING TO BUILD BACK BETTER
Our County Party is launching a voter registration effort for 2021 called Map The Vote Indiana.  To facilitate voter registration we are adopting a free tool available to anyone with a cell phone or computer called Map The Vote, created by a non-partisan organization called Register2Vote.  Co-founders Jeremy Smith and Madeline Eden launched Map The Vote in 2018 in Texas where volunteers used it to register 156,000 voters in just six weeks. It has been so successful that it has been adopted by the Texas Democratic Party and it has spread to Pennsylvania, Missouri, Wisconsin and now Indiana.

Map The Vote is a website  MAP THE VOTE that works on your computer very much like Google Maps. It shows a pulsating blue dot for your location and green dots on the homes where eligible unregistered voters reside. It takes information from voter registration lists (registered voters) and cross-references them with U.S. Postal Service’s address database to identify the location of unregistered voters.  Once a volunteer knocks on a door with a green dot (potential unregistered voter), Map the Vote allows them to double check the registration status of an individual, and in Indiana, it allows you to register that individual online, without the need of paper forms.

We’ve created an online training module that will be held on Tuesday, April 20 at 6pm CST on Zoom.  Please take this opportunity to sign up today for the training using the MOBILIZE LINK FOR TRAINING . The link will take you to a site called Mobilize where you can share the event with your friends via email or any social media platform. Mobilize will send you an automated reminder the day before the training.

We have also created a t-shirt for the event.
After the Map The Vote voter registration training, we will meet in person on Saturday May 15 for a voter registration canvass in conjunction with the very first in-person meeting of the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party that will be held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Everyone canvassing will receive a FREE T-shirt. Details on the in-person event will be coming soon.

Thank you for your service to the Democratic Party, and we are SO EXCITED to see you all very soon.
