 Managing Indiana’s Water Resources

| Indiana is fortunate to have abundant natural resources – like water – that play a vital role in our state’s success.
 This year, Senate Republicans prioritized a bill that ensures our state’s water supply is managed properly. Senate Enrolled Act 4 will: 
 Under this law, a utility or industry wishing to transfer water between basins must obtain a permit from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. In addition, long-haul pipeline projects will also require approval from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, even if the water remains in the same basin.  |
