Make Election Day a Holiday

    1. The Republicans would never let that happen. Get rid of Columbus Day (honoring a murderer for being not even close to the first person to discover this continent, and by accident no less) and make election day a holiday.

      • That would only be good for the banks and government as far as getting off. January 1st, New Years would be a good nation holiday to trade for. Why are we off for this anyway? Hangovers?

With early voting and mail in ballots, there is no excuse not to vote. But again, the candidates you have to vote for, and the disconnect after the election until the next campaign by the politicians, I see why a lot of voters stay away!

    2. …..It’s a good point. CRASH, POV, COMMON SENSE, COUNTRYBOY and ELLEN WINKER have all been pretending the midterms were a “landslide!”, a “mandate!”, a “tidal-wave!”, “tsunami-defeat!”…….look, a win is a win, and the Republican Establishment (Karl Rove) knew how to win midterm elections by turning out TP’rs when the Dems would stay home. Good for the establishment GOP. Good use of the Tea Party by the way, too.

Now, they have no intention to listen to the Tea Party idiots (listening to too much Rush Limbaugh – he’s a radio host!)……but from this obese, four-time married but no children drug addict, they hear these terms…..and are foolish enough to repeat them.

    3. Election day should be a holiday. If the right to vote isn’t reason to have one helluva celebration, what is?

    4. I’m in. Any excuse to be off work and maybe have a little get together sounds good to me.

    5. My goodness the democrats and RINOs are taking this loss hard. By vote or apathy, the people have sobered up from their Denver pixie dust high of no hope and changed.
