“LEFT JAB AND RIGHT JAB”

“Right Jab And Left Jab” was created because we have two commenters that post on a daily basis either in our “IS IT TRUE” or “Readers Forum” columns concerning National or International issues.
Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan’s comments are mostly about issues of national interest.  The majority of our “IS IT TRUE” columns are about local or state issues, so we have decided to give Mr. Biden and Mr. Reagan exclusive access to our newly created “LEFT JAB and RIGHT JAB”  column. They now have this post to exclusively discuss national or world issues that they feel passionate about.
We shall be posting the “LEFT JAB” AND “RIGHT JAB” several times a week.  Oh, “Left Jab” is a liberal view and the “Right Jab is representative of the more conservative views. Also, any reader who would like to react to the written comments of the two gentlemen is free to do so.

    1/ The White House rejected a House Oversight Committee request for Stephen Miller to testify about his role in Trump’s immigration policies, including a plan to bus migrants to “sanctuary cities.” White House counsel Pat Cipollone said blocking Miller from appearing before the committee follows “long-standing precedent” established by previous administrations. Cipollone said Cabinet secretaries and other executive branch officials would instead provide “reasonable accommodation” for requests and questions from the committee on immigration policy issues.     2/ House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler suggested fining officials personally for noncompliance with congressional subpoenas. In order to do so, the House would need to vote on a new rule to allow it to fine people outside the court system. The House could also vote to hold officials in contempt or sue to enforce the subpoena in court, which could take months or years. This week alone the White House directed a former personnel security official to not appear at a scheduled House Oversight Committee deposition, blocked former White House counsel Donald McGahn from testifying to the House Judiciary Committee, and the Justice Department ignored a subpoena from the Oversight Committee for testimony about the addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 Census. The Treasury Department also ignored the House’s deadline to turn Trump’s tax returns over to the Ways and Means Committee, and Trump sued to block a subpoena of his accounting firm.     3/ Trump claimed he never told Donald McGahn to fire Robert Mueller weeks after he was appointed in 2017, “even though I had the legal right to do so.” The statement runs counter to Mueller’s report, which detailed “McGahn’s clear recollection” of two phone calls in June 2017, where Trump “directed [McGahn] to call” Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and have Mueller “removed” because he “has to go.” Trump also urged McGahn to dispute media reports that he had attempted to fire Mueller.     4/ Trump’s re-election campaign refused to rule out using hacked information. The Democratic National Committee and the party’s 2020 candidates, meanwhile, have pledged not to use illegally obtained information to their advantage. Mueller’s report outlined how the Russian government interfered in the 2016 race in “sweeping and systematic fashion” in order to help Trump win, and that the Trump team expected to “benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts.” (NBC News)

    Trump tried multiple times to get Jeff Sessions to “unrecuse” himself and re-open an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, according to the Mueller report. No evidence has emerged showing that Sessions ever acted on any of Trump’s requests to have Clinton’s case reopened. The first instance was in mid-2017 when Trump called Sessions at home and asked him to unrecuse himself from “all of it” and go after Clinton. The second instance was after a cabinet meeting in December 2017. Trump pulled Sessions aside and said, “I don’t know if you could unrecuse yourself. You’d be a hero. Not telling you to do anything.” (New York Times)

    Joe Biden is officially running for president. Biden made the announcement in a video posted online, in which he criticizes Trump’s handling of the white nationalist attack in Charlottesville, VA and warns that “We are in the battle for the soul of this nation.” He is currently leading in the polls among Democratic primary voters.     Trump agreed to pay North Korea $2 million for Otto Warmbier, the college student who was a prisoner in Pyongyang. Before releasing the comatose Warmbier in 2017, North Korea insisted that the U.S. sign a pledge to pay the bill. The bill was sent to the Treasury Department, but it’s unclear whether the Trump administration ever paid the bill.       • Early Polls Show Trump Hurt By Mueller Report As Media VINDICATED By Its Findings

        Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Trump-Russia scandal has taken a toll on the president’s polling numbers.

        A survey conducted by Reuters from Thursday to Friday found that Trump’s numbers are the lowest that they’ve been this year. Trump’s approval rating was at 37 percent, down from 40 percent on April 15 and 43 percent following the release of Attorney General Barr’s summary of the Mueller report. This indicates that whatever initial benefits Trump received from Barr’s spin on the Mueller report have worn off, if not worse

        Only 15 percent of the individuals surveyed said that the Mueller report changed their opinion on the Trump-Russia investigation, with 40 percent saying Trump should be impeached. Perhaps most damning, 58 percent of Americans believe that Trump attempted to instruct the Mueller investigation

        Princeton author Julian Zellizer wrote a scathing condemnation of the Trump administration based on the Mueller report

Jamie Raskin, who is a Constitutional scholar, isn’t taking politics into account as he examines the evidence laid out by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Trump and explained that the crimes outlined in the report are an outright attack on American democracy. He believes this is the reason Congress must do what it takes to protect the rule of law

        “We shouldn’t be afraid of any part of the Constitution. But we understand that impeachment is an extreme remedy for extraordinary circumstances when there are high crimes and misdemeanors committed by the president. There’s no doubt that obstruction of justice is a high crime and misdemeanor. That’s what Bill Clinton was impeached for. When he told a lie about having sex by the REPUBLICAN-led Congress in 1998, it’s what Richard Nixon was charged with shortly before he resigned from office. So obstruction of justice is in that territory”

        “I think we understand that high crimes and misdemeanors in our constitutional system relate to offenses against democracy, the character of democracy. And so we just need to see more. We need to hear from witnesses to tell the story, so America understands”

        Republicans have alleged that Democrats must move on to pass laws instead of investigations, but that ignores Democrats have been able to do both since taking power in January. Several bills have made their way through Congress, but Senate Leader Bitch McConnell has refused to vote on them

      • Mitch Mcconnell Threatens To Block Everything When Trump Loses In 2020

        Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is threatening to kill popular legislation and policies when voters elect a Democratic president in the 2020 election

        “If I’m still the majority leader in the Senate in 2020, think of me as the Grim Reaper. None of that stuff is going to pass” McConnell told voters in Owensboro on Monday

        That stuff McConnell is so eager to kill? Popular ideas like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All, which would help to clean up the environment and provide even more access to affordable health care. When voters reject Trump and the Republican agenda in 2020, McConnell is determined to do what he wants rather than what the voters want

        “I guarantee you that if I’m the last man standing and I’m still the majority leader, it ain’t happening. I can promise you”

        Earlier this month McConnell wrote an op-ed attacking Democrats for “mindless, undiscriminating obstruction for the sake of obstruction” because they have opposed some of Trump’s more radical or simply unqualified nominees. McConnell fumed that Democrats were somehow engaging in “historic” and “unprecedented behavior”

        “This new, across-the-board obstruction is unfair to the president and, more importantly, to the American people” McConnell wrote, though he engaged in exactly that sort of obstruction when President Obama, who had the mandate of 65.9 million voters behind him after the 2012 election, was president.

        Now McConnell is openly stating he will resort to the same tactics again. When America elects a Democratic president, McConnell will do everything in his power to stop the will of the voters. Again

    • A Washington State Republican Politician Took Part In Private Discussions With Rightwing Figures About Carrying Out Surveillance And “Psyops” And Violent Attacks On Perceived Political Enemies

      State representative Matt Shea, who represents Spokane Valley in the Washington state house, participated in the chats with three other men. All of the men used screen aliases. The Guardian confirmed the identity of those in the chat by cross-checking phone numbers attached to the Signal accounts. The group included Jack Robertson, who broadcasts a far-right radio show and also included Anthony Bosworth, whose history includes a public altercation with his own daughter and bringing guns to a court house. Bosworth participated in the 2016 occupation of the Malheur national wildlife refuge, reportedly at Shea’s request

      The chats on the messaging app Signal took place in the days leading up to a supposed “Antifa revolt” in November 2017. Throughout late October far-right media outlets had been stoking fears of political conflict on the basis of planned peaceful protests by a small leftist group. The men proposed to confront leftists whom they repeatedly refer to as “communists” and “Antifa” with a suite of tactics including violence with “When we locate antifa members we can confront their parents their workplaces their landlords. We can hit them in there safe spaces” and “If we can catch a few of them alone and work him over a little bit”

      Other acts of extreme violence were also suggested. When a specific female Spokane resident was nominated for surveillance in the chat group, Robertson suggested “Fist full of hair, and face slam, to a Jersey barrier. Treat em like communist revolutionaries. Then shave her bald with a K-Bar USMC field knife” and “Would make good attachment points for hoisting communists up flag poles. Especially the ones with nipple rings” and “If you cinch up zip ties enough, you don’t even NEED nipple rings for hoisting”

      Shea, an elected Republican legislator, did not demur from any of these suggestions. He also appeared willing to participate directly in surveillance of activists. In response to a request in the chat for background checks on Spokane residents, Shea volunteered to help, going on to name three individuals including an organizer for the liberal group Indivisible and a college professor. They talked about the broad outlines of what they appeared to consider to be a looming civil war. They also discussed using symbols from what they understood to be Russian anti-communist groups as a way of spreading paranoia among their adversaries. The group talked about making stickers and cards using skull and crossbones images from post-revolutionary Russian nationalist groups

      Shea has long promoted conspiratorial views about the cooperation of leftists and Muslims in creating “counter-states” in the US. He has associated with conspiracy-minded far-right groups, and later this month will emcee a dinner for the anti-communist John Birch society in Couer D’Alene, Idaho and denied surveilling his political opponents, but added “If someone is in my community and they are threatening violence, I want to know more about them. That just makes sense” and claimed that the apparent threats of violence were not authentic. Shea came to international attention in 2018 after a document he authored surfaced laying out a “biblical basis for war” which appeared to be a plan for an apocalyptic battle with people who practiced “same sex marriage” and “abortion” and instructed “If they do not yield, kill all males” and “A lot of people in private conversations say things tongue in cheek about what they would like to see happen to these people, but that is not setting a policy or establishing a protocol for people to carry things out”

      Shea has a long record of both espousing extremist “Patriot” movement ideas as well as multiple dalliances with far-right extremists, notably participating in a press conference at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge standoff supporting the radicals at the federal center there

      The Western States Center, a progressive organization, has also previously criticized Shea. Its executive director Eric Ward said via email “The violent extremism that Representative Matt Shea espouses is a clear threat to our democratic institutions and has no place in mainstream political discourse. We call on Washington State Republican Party leaders to censure Representative Shea”

      After the Guardian contacted Robertson and Shea for comment Robertson spoke on Thursday night on the Spokane Christian radio station on which he and Shea broadcast weekly programs. In a rambling broadcast, Robertson confirmed the existence of the chats, called the Guardian a “propagandist” and read biblical accounts of war and followed with “If it comes time for war and it’s forced upon you, do you not want a leader who is going to surround himself with warriors? I do”

      Remarkably, in responding to Wilson’s report Shea posted an attack on Wilson on Facebook claiming he is linked to “violent Marxist revolutionaries” while including a link to an insane Australian white-nationalist site renowned for posting vile anti-Semitic articles. Shea’s extremist advocacy and alliances made him subject to monitoring by the Southern Poverty Law Center long ago, which has long listed him as an extremist political candidate. His record in recent years has become substantially linked to far-right “constitutionalist” belief systems, and is especially problematic for anyone holding an official position within state government since he has participated in both armed standoffs involving rancher Cliven Bundy and his sons, first in Nevada in April 2014 and then in 2016 at the Malheur, distributed a “Biblical Basis for War” document that contemplated creating a new state that would be based on “constitutional” and “biblical” principles, including outlawing homosexuality and open public lands, and negating the power of the federal government, helped organize the Spokane chapter of the Islamophobic organization ACT! for America in 2016, which is listed by the SPLC as a hate group,

      Some of Shea’s most prominent critics have been political conservatives. Sherriff Ozzie Knezovich, a conservative Republican, voiced his concern too saying “The allegations concerning Rep. Shea are troubling, however, they are not surprising. Shea has used these types of tactics against anyone he deems to be a political enemy for years and is currently being sued by a Spokane County Deputy Sheriff for the use of similar tactics. To me, it is unconscionable that a State Representative would be involved in such discussions targeting those he has been elected to represent and protect. It appears that Shea has no use or respect for the Constitutions of the United States, the State of Washington nor the principles upon which our nation was founded”

      Sheriff Knezovich has repeatedly criticized Shea’s far-right ties saying “It’s part and parcel of what this group has been saying for years. I think if a state representative is condoning violence against his constituents then that person needs to be removed from office, and I hope the voters will do that at the next election. Matt Shea is a poor representative for the Republican party. Extremism on both sides is tearing this country apart”

      Asked if the people around Shea were dangerous, Sheriff Knezovich said:“Yes”

      Trump fans have enjoyed attacking left-leaning Americans. Last year Miami-area resident and Trump supporter Cesar Sayoc sent pipe bombs to prominent liberals across the nation and went to jail. Now another right-wing Trump supporter has been arrested for violent threats against lawmakers

      A man in Broward County, Florida was arrested Friday for threatening to kill two Democratic presidential candidates and the first and only two Muslim women in Congress

      Federal authorities announced Friday that a man named John Kless was arrested for leaving voicemails in the Washington offices of Reps. Eric Swalwell, Rashida Tlaib, and Corey Booker earlier this week threatening murder. In every voicemail Kless spoke about his hatred for Rep. Ilhan Omar whom he said he wanted to “throw off the Empire State Building”

      “The day you come after our guns, motherf—-, is the day you’ll be dead” he said in a voicemail to Swalwell according to complaint. The threats against Swalwell centered around his support for gun control policies, and with Booker profane threats on his race. He repeatedly called Booker the n-word and told Swalwell he would be on his “death bed, motherf—-, along with the rest of you Democrats”

      The message left for Tlaib was particularly egregious.

      “It was your Taliban bitch, the one who opened up her fucking towel head mouth about how “some people did it” You know what? She’s lucky she’s just getting death threats, bitch. So are you. Alright? You’re lucky they’re just threats. motherf—-. Cause the day when the bell tolls, whore, and this country comes to a war, there will be no more threats. Your life will be on the f—ing line”

      Kless added that the terror attack in Charlottesville in which a white supremacist drove a car into progressive protester Heather Heyer killed only “one f—ing person” and he then said Booker should tell his “colleague with the towel on her head to shut up about 9/11”

      Kless defended Trump in the voicemails and has left “profane/harassing” voicemails in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office

      In the most exhaustive review undertaken of Elizabeth Warren’s professional history, the Boston Globe found CLEAR evidence, in documents and interviews, that her claim to Native American ethnicity was NEVER considered by the Harvard Law faculty, which voted resoundingly to hire her, or by those who hired her to four prior positions at other law schools. At every step of her remarkable rise in the legal profession, the people responsible for hiring her saw her as a white woman

      The Globe examined HUNDREDS of documents, many of them never before available, and reached out to ALL 52 of the law professors who are still living and were part of the interview at Harvard Law School. Some are Warren’s allies. Others are not. Thirty-one agreed to talk to the Globe, including the law professor who was in charge of recruiting faculty. Most said they were unaware of her claims to Native American heritage and said those claims were not even discussed as part of her hire. One professor told the Boston Globe he is unsure whether her heritage came up, but is certain that it had NO bearing on his vote on Warren’s appointment

      The Boston Globe closely reviewed the records, verified them, and conducted more than 100 interviews with her colleagues and every person who had a role in hiring decisions about Warren who could be reached. In sum, it is clear that Warren was viewed as a white woman by the hiring committees at EVERY institution that employed her

      Among the records were some never examined before by a newspaper, including one key form that a University of Pennsylvania professor kept tucked away for three decades. That previously undisclosed report reveals that the hiring committee at Penn, where Warren worked from 1987 to 1995, viewed her as a white female applicant. Moreover, the committee went to some pains to explain on this form why she was selected over several minorities to fill a faculty position

      The Boston Globe ralso eviewed a never-before-reported 10-page faculty equal opportunity compliance statement form filled out by Penn’s law school’s affirmative action officer and the dean in April 1987. The form described the extensive efforts the school made to find a black, Hispanic, Asian, or American Indian candidate for the commercial law position Warren had landed.

      The document, which was shared with the Boston Globe by Stephen Burbank, a law professor at Penn who kept it for three decades in a box with other personnel files, concludes that Warren was the best for the job despite being, as they put it, “white” and Burbank was, at the time, a member of the appointments committee and on a subcommittee charged with reviewing all minority prospects

      The form includes a written defense for the decision. “The members of the appointments committee, in discussing the appointment of Elizabeth Warren with external referees, specifically asked whether there were any minority candidates of equal or better stature,” according to a paragraph on the form. “None of the persons indicated that there was an equal or better minority candidate”

      One area that the professors interviewed by the Boston Globe agreed on: There was NO talk about her Native American claims during the meetings over her appointment

    Vice President Mike Pence’s former chief of staff, Josh Pitcock, has responded for the first time to speculation in conservative media outlets that FBI agents wanted to use him to infiltrate President-elect Trump’s transition team in 2016

    Driving the news: In a statement to Axios, Pitcock said he had “NO CONTACT” with either former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok or former FBI attorney Lisa Page, the two FBI agents frequently maligned as part of a conspiracy against Trump at the center of the speculation, and “took zero actions on their behalf”

    Pitcock also said there was “no infiltration through me or my wife” an FBI agent and another focus of the speculation and “Any assertions or speculation to the contrary is unfounded, uninformed and 100% false”

    My wife and I have served our nation in different capacities for more than a decade. I worked for Mike Pence, and she continues to work for the FBI. In the summer of 2016, Mike Pence was picked by Donald Trump to be his Vice Presidential-nominee. Up until that time my wife had been working on the FBI counter-intelligence investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server. However, when Mike Pence was chosen as the VPnominee, she was recused from all work touching on the 2016 presidential campaign or candidates. Her recusal continued after the campaign ended, through the Transition and during the Administration, and she was not a part of any counter-intelligence division activities having to deal with Russia or the President

    With regard to the reference in the texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page about “Katie’s husband,” to be very clear, I have no knowledge of what Strzok and Page were discussing or why. I had no contact with either Strzok or Page during the 2016 campaign, the Transition, or while serving at the White House. I took zero actions on their behalf. There was no infiltration through me or my wife. Any assertions or speculation to the contrary is unfounded, uninformed and 100% false. During the entire time I worked for President Trump, Vice President Pence and their Administration I was 100% loyal, dedicated and determined every day to do my best to advance their agenda

    My wife is a dedicated professional who loves the Bureau and her country. That she has been named publicly and subjected to scrutiny and false allegations when she did nothing wrong is unconscionable

    The Attacks on Christians and America’s First Freedom

    The Islamic State (ISIS) has now taken credit for the Muslim massacre of Christians in Sri Lana. On average over 300 Christians a month are killed for their faith globally. This is the end result of a campaign of disrespect and hate towards Christians that have become a significant theme of American politics as well.

    Is it merely coincidental that the most rapidly rising candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, Pete Buttigieg launched his campaign with an unfounded and unprovoked attack on America’s vice president because he is a Christian? In fact, as Buttigieg’s governor in Indiana, Pence had been particularly generous to Buttigieg when he publicly revealed his sexual orientation. But Buttigieg would not be dissuaded by Pence’s gesture of tolerance. Buttigieg’s attack took place without so much as a demurral from any national Democratic figure, and in fact led directly to Buttigieg’s ascension to third place in the Democratic primary race. That alone speaks volumes about the anti-Christian prejudices manifested by the left in this country.

    Consider Barack Obama, who referred to the Sri-Lankans murdered in church as “Easter worshippers” — as though they were druids on holiday rather than Christians worshipping their savior on the day they believed He rose from the dead. The other side of this disrespect is the zeal with which leftists have closed ranks around supporters of the Islamic war against infidels like congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, both of whom have done fund-raising speeches for terrorist-related groups…

    The Christians who created America made religious liberty and freedom of conscience the foundation of all Americans’ other freedoms. In doing so Christians gave a great gift, not only to Americans but to people all over the world whose freedoms Americans have defended. This America is now under attack. Freedom of speech for conservatives is now non-existent on America’s university campuses. They are in embryo the one-party state the Democratic Party is working overtime to achieve.

    Democrats are determined to destroy the Electoral College, which was designed to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority. They are working to destroy America’s borders, give rapists, murderers and Boston Marathon bombers the right to vote, give non-citizens who are here illegally the right to vote, give children the right to vote, and oppose I.D.s at the ballot box so people who disrespect our democracy can vote as many times as they wish.

    The war on American democracy has reached a critical point. To grasp the nature of this war, and to understand its goals, it is essential to recognize its origins in the war against Christians. Christian beliefs in the sanctity of life, in free will (and hence individual accountability), and in the flawed nature of humanity are the principal bulwark against our descent into the barbarism which progressivism promises us.

    • Why Are Conservatives So Angry About Obama’s Reference to “Easter Worshippers”

      To most people, former President Barack Obama’s tweet about the brutal terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka on Sunday read as standard post-presidential material: correct, sensible, and essentially anodyne

      But then some right-wingers noticed that other prominent figures on the left had used the phrase Easter worshippers too. Soon, a suspicion arose that “Easter worshippers” is a euphemism used by “people who don’t want to say ‘Christians” and “We’re actually called Christians not Easter worshippers ” a National Review writer tweeted. Obama and friends “could not bring themselves to identify the victims of the attacks as ‘Christians” Breitbart huffed, deeming the phrase a “Sympathy Snub” and an op-ed in the Washington Times called Obama and Clinton “anti-Christian”

      Some went further, interpreting the term Easter worshipper as a false claim that Christians worship the holiday of Easter “We don’t worship Easter, We worship Jesus Christ” Laura Ingraham tweeted. One America News Network host Jack Posobiec claimed to have never heard the term Easter worshipper before Sunday

      Before Sunday, to be clear, the term Easter worshipper was considered straightforward enough that the AP used it in a headline about another recent church-based international tragedy “Tourists, Easter Worshippers Lament Closure of Notre Dame” but we are here to help: “Easter worshippers” describes Christians in church on Easter Sunday. The term is more descriptive than “Christians” because it conveys the additional fact that the victims were actively celebrating Easter when they were killed. They are worshippers, and it is Easter. If it helps, try putting the emphasis on worshippers in the phrase: It’s Easter worshippers, not Easter-worshippers

      Here is how the construction works in similar contexts:

      It takes a true (right-wing) savant of exquisitely attuned grievance collection to read an individual reference to “Easter worshippers” as an attempt to avoid acknowledging Christianity. Easter is the most important holiday in the Christian calendar. “Easter” has no other meaning. As a celebration, it is far less secularly degraded than Christmas. Bunnies aside, it is basically inaccessible as a holiday to anyone uncomfortable with acknowledging the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If anything “Easter worshippers” puts extra emphasis on the religious nature of the attack by pointing out that it happened on a day of special spiritual meaning to victims. It implies: Not only did you attack Christians, you did it today of all days

      Southern Baptist writer and professor Denny Burk argued that persecuted Christians may prefer the straightforward term Christians because it highlights the faith they are willing to die for. That would be a stronger argument if Obama and other Democrats had used a term like Sri Lankans, without any religious meaning. But they did not do that, they used a term that is inextricably associated with Christianity. In other contexts, conservative Christians make the point that not all holiday churchgoers are “real” Christians. As early-20th-century evangelist Billy Sunday once put it: “Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile”

      Of course, “Easter worshippers” was never the real problem. The meat of the outrage is not that Democrats are afraid of the word Christian or that “Easter worshippers” is somehow an inaccessibly confusing phrase. The real implication is that Democrats supposedly have an insufficient concern for Christians as a persecuted identity group. This is an old theme: Obama came under attack in 2015 for failing to mention the religion of victims of a terrorist attack in Kenya. He was regularly criticized by the same cohort for failing to use the exact term Islamic terrorism. As Family Research Council president Tony Perkins put it at the time “When it comes to persecuted Christians, not only do we not have action, we rarely get words”

      The first draft of Trump’s “refugee ban” carved out exceptions for religious minorities from the Middle East, which he promoted on the Christian Broadcasting Network as a favor to Christians: “If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible. And I thought it was very, very unfair”

      Trump’s policies have actually made it significantly harder for persecuted Christians to enter the United States

      But at least he hasn’t used the term Easter worshippers

  9. Now this is what I wanted to see. What a great format for the left/right wing people. I so enjoy the back and forth between RR and JB. I never thought I would see similar views with RR, but when Mitch M says the Senate will oppose any legislation, not Republican, I call foul. It is time for the great divide to end. Always will be left/right views, but the D or the R party to say, block it, block it all, means the people are screwed. Can you egotistical hard party liners take a breath? The average American just wants honest government, but what is happening now, the L and R war, is getting nothing done. Please learn to work together. Whether you are D or R, need not matter. Our government was formed on the collision of ideas. I am a right wing conservative, but I still understand that R and D must fight, bitch and moan, but it is the civil minds that find the common ground. That is what we need today and from now long to make sure our America survives.
