- A message from Sheriff Dave Wedding….
- Over the past nine years the 911 Gives Hope Guns and Hoses event has raised over $750,000 to benefit children with disabilities in our community. This phenomenal success could not have been achieved without the overwhelming support of our community.
- On behalf of the entire Sheriff’s Office, I wish to thank all of the sheriff’s deputies, confinement officers, police officers, emergency medical service members and firefighters who will participate in the upcoming Guns and Hoses charity boxing event.
Each of these men and women will bravely step into the ring in order to benefit area children. Being a public safety professional requires the acceptance of personal risk and sacrifice for the greater good. Whether they are in or out of the ring, this year’s fighters exemplify this ideal by putting others first. I hope you will join me in cheering these heroes on.
