IT’S OFFICIAL-JUSTIN ELPERS IS A CANDIDATE FOR THE VANDERBURGH COUNTY COMMISSION
Yesterday current Republican 5th Ward City Councilman Justin Elpers formally announced that he will be a candidate for the District 2 Vanderburgh County Commission seat in front of an impressive group of family, friends, and supporters.
A number of well-wishers and supporters who attended Mr. Elpers’s campaign announcement event were extremely pleased with his remarks.
We were told by several political pundits attending this event that Mr. Elpers family, religious, and conservative values make him an attractive candidate.
When Mr. Elpers told those in attendance he’s running for District #2, Vanderburgh County Commissioner it was met with an arousing round of applause.
He said; “in the last few years, I’ve learned a lot while serving on the Evansville City Council. I always supported good public policy decisions and I shall continue doing so.”  Many times during Evansville City meetings I cast the lone descending vote because I respectfully disagreed with a proposed resolution or ordinance set forth by fellow Councilmembers”.
If elected to the Vanderburgh County Commission I shall continue to be an independent thinking representative for the taxpayers of Vanderburgh County.
He said that he has three core principles that guide him while making political decisions.
#1, God & Family:Â A family that prays together stays together.
#2, Public Safety: I will always defend our public safety. I will ensure that they receive the proper resources to make our county safe.
#3, Fewer government regulations equals more opportunity for growth, more jobs, and a better quality of life.
Finally, he said; “I believe that my campaign committee is going to put me in the best position to win. However, we cannot do this alone. We need your help in the coming months to be successful in November 2022”.
