IS IT TRUE  our hats off to SWIRCA & More, a local nonprofit organization for serving 1300 Thanksgiving dinners with all the trimmings?  …we congratulate Rhonda Zuber, SWIRCA & More President and her outstanding staff for a job well done?

IS IT TRUE that Dr. Richard Moss campaign for Congress is picking up stream with the local Tea party group , Libertarians and Independents?  …Dr. Moss conservative in your face style is getting a lot of attention from people who are sick and tired of the “do nothing” Congress?  …if Dr. Moss keep up his conservative message he just might give his primary opponent a run for his money?  …we like Dr. Moss ‘”checkered shirt” he’s wearing while he campaigning because it reminds us of what Lamar Alexander of Tennessee wore while he campaigned for Governor?

IS IT TRUE we are hearing that Henrietta Jenkins the unsuccessful independent candidate for 4th Ward City Council is officially a Republican?  …we hear that Ms. Jenkins will be announcing in the very near future that she will be a candidate for the District 77 State Representative now held by Gail Riecken?

IS IT TRUE we are hearing that Democrat Chris Cooke is getting closer to announcing that he shall also be running for Mrs. Riecken seat?  …if Mr. Cooke decides to run he for the District 77 State Representative seat  in the Democratic primary he will be hard to beat?

IS IT TRUE it looks like Attorney Ryan Hatfield and Banker Alex Burton are getting cold feet about running for the District 77 State Representative in the Democratic primary?

IS IT TRUE the Townsquare Media Radio Stations (WKDQ, WJLT, WDKS, WGBF-FM, WGBF-AM) will team up with Henderson Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and the 911 Gives Hope charity to present the 7th annual “911 Gives Hope for the Holidays” toy drive?  … for the past 6 years 911 Gives Hope have successfully filled a 53 foot trailer with toys that were distributed to the Children’s Wards at local hospitals?  …this year all 5 radio stations will again partner together for a mass broadcast “radiothon” to urge the public to donate toys, clothing, gift certificates and more to the Children’s Wards at Deaconess Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center and The Ronald Mc Donald House?  …the City County Observer urge you to support this most worthily not-for-profit police sponsored event?

      • Gross, that guy and Weaver showed their asses like clear sundown super harvest moons when himself and Weaver brought charges on Mr. Jordan Baer over his video of the depredated gravestones in your city owned graveyards. Any reasonable Judge would have tossed that political fiasco out of his court in a jack flash second. That’s not even approaching leadership, its just political patronage stupidity, first person. That alone will crash that Cooke slug to the pile, however, we’ve have recovered “solid knowledge” there is far worse more damaging stuff available as well.
        Find some new people who really will represent the district with known integrity.

    How do you go from someone like a Peter Fitzgerald to a Barack Obama?

    If anyone should be running this country it should be Obama’s predecessor from Illinois in the Senate. Making money should be no problem for someone of Peter Fitzgerald’s stature. One can only hope that he sets his sights on a higher goal somewhere down the road and reenters the fight to save this country. How about a Peter Fitzgerald-Trey Gowdy ticket in the future? Now there is a team I can get behind.

  3. Chris Cooke is an embarrassment to not only the city but himself, he is nothing more than a glorified grounds keeper.

    But the majority of the 20% voters in Evansville have proven time and time again that they don’t really make good decisions. Mosby, Weaver, Cooke, Winneke and Linda K Durnham are just a examples of how educated the voting pool is in Evansville.
