IS IT TRUE the COVID-19 Virus pandemic has given our elected officials the excuse to raise our 2021 tax increases?
IS IT TRUE we hope that in the future our elected officials will not vote on any ordinances (unless its an emergency) that’s not listed on their official agenda because it doesn’t allow public input? …when they vote on non-agenda items it’s isn’t “transparent” but also doesn’t represent “good public policy” practices?
IS IT TRUE that last Saturday protest was “peaceful†and made Evansville look very positive in the midst of all the national negativity?…that Evansville Mayor Winnecke, Police Chief Billy Bolin, and Council President Alex Burton are looking very good after the last weekend after by working together in promoting peaceful protests in Evansville?
IS IT TRUE we been told that right after County Commissioner candidate Zac Rascher (R) lost his bid to be a delegate at the Indiana Republican Convention, local GOP Chairman appointed him to be a delegate?…that Zac’s wife Natalie was elected as a delegate at the Indiana State Republican Convention?
IS IT TRUE that the Vanderburgh County Commissioners continues to practice social distancing and wore masks at the yesterdays Commission meeting?
IS IT TRUE that members of the Evansville  City Council did an 8 minute and 46 second moment of silence in honor of George Floyd during recent meeting?… that this gesture was recognized by many statewide news and media outlets?
IS IT TRUE we are told that Indiana State Representative  77, Ryan Hatfield (D), will have an opponent in this coming fall election?…that the local GOP is holding a political caucus on Saturday, June 27, 2020, to select a candidate to run against Mr. Hatfield?…we been told that the odds on favorite to win this political caucus will be a former Mayoral candidate, Preacher Steve Ary?
IS IT TRUEÂ that many people have received their $1,200 stimulus checks and the money is long gone? …that good-paying jobs are far and in between? …when people get desperate they will do desperate things? …desperation is caused by loss of employment, not able to pay your water bill, gas, and electric bills, mobile phone bill, can’t pay your rent or mortgage payments, experiencing a medical issue, going through a divorce, can’t buy food or medicine, or can’t make your car payment?
they need to focus on better ways to help the people living in that area?  …good-paying jobs, reliable public transportation, alcohol, and drug counseling, improving the crime rate, apply for additional Federal and State funds to build more affordable single-family housing, help to improve daycare services, find a developer to build a quality grocery store, and help with ways to improve healthcare offerings to people living in that area?

God Bless our political leaders struggling, but doing their best, to recover from Trump’s disastrous management of the COVID epidemic….allowing it to destroy our once great Economy. The guy is a clown, and now we’re in a Recession w/ 21.2% real unemployment because of it. We deserve better.
