IS IT TRUE that since the coronavirus lockdowns began in March and April, crime has been increasing in large American cities where street protests have been happening at alarming rates?…domestic violence in New York City has increased by over 100% as have shootings in places like Chicago and Portland?…companies are doing what they can to protect their employees and it is disrupting the large cities where crime is increasing?
IS IT TRUE that Google just announced that their entire workforce can now work from home until July of 2021?…this is driving those workers to pack their bags and move to locations that are safer and have less expensive housing?…in a survey of tech workers in San Francisco over 50% of those surveyed expressed a desire to move out of the City by the Bay?…these cities are also known for excessive taxation so workers who earn high salaries or who are about to get large bonuses are taking advantage of telecommuting to move to states that do not pick people’s pockets? Â …we wonder if this could be an opportunity Evansville/Vanderburgh County?
IS IT TRUE Tesla CEO Elon Musk is having a great year in the stock market and has a contract that could pay him up to $50 Billion in stock related bonuses in the next several years?…as a resident of California, Mr. Musk will owe the state $6.5 Billion in taxes on these bonuses?…in Texas where Tesla is investing a billion dollars to put in a new auto manufacturing plant, Musk will pay ZERO in income taxes?… Musk recently has divested of all of his California real estate holdings?…this is a precursor to his change of personal residence to Texas where he will save $6.5 Billion in income taxes?…these big city-driven high tax states had better wake up to this or every job-creating and wealth-creating entrepreneur will abandon their sinking ships and there is not one thing they can do about it?
IS IT TRUE the “Defund the Police” movement has been a great thing for companies that manufacture and sell guns?…3 million guns have been purchased by private citizens since March?…half of those sales happened during the month of June after protesters hit the streets and obliviously served as a human shield for anarchists who are determined to destroy buildings and burn down public places?…the rate at which the FBI is currently doing background checks on private gun purchases is 176,000 per day?…people should not be surprised if private citizens who own homes and businesses in or around the violent protests eventually take matters into their own hands and teach the violent street thugs a lesson they will never forget?…we do hope that the peaceful protesters wise up and stop serving as human shields for the criminals committing violent acts?
IS IT TRUE on July 21, 2020, Vanderburgh County Treasurer Susan Kirk sent us a letter expressing her open displeasure concerning the activities of the Evansville Board Of Public Works?…Ms. Kirk said “If you’ve ever attended a Board of Public Works meeting – in most cases it is very short. Once the agenda item is announced, the representing committee member gives a very brief description, and then it goes to vote like this: Do we have a motion, then a second? then they say so moved. Next item up? There is little if no discussion whatsoever. All the while they allocate thousands and thousands of dollars”? …Ms. Kirk’s letter caught our attention and we decided to put her words to the test?  … posted below are some interesting agenda items and decisions made by the Evansville Board Of Public Works at their July 23 and 30 meetings? …it looks like the comments made by Vanderburgh County Treasurer and Civic Center icon Susan Kirk about how the Evansville Board Of Public conducts their meetings are spot on?
IS IT TRUE that the Evansville Board Of Public Works made quick decisions to dispose of the 11 agenda items brought before them on July 23, 2020? …it only took the board around 10 minutes to approve all 11 agenda items?
IS IT TRUE it was revealed at the July 23, 2020 Board Of Public Works meeting not only does this board handles the bids for the City but also for Vanderburgh County? …at this meeting, the board approved a request by the Purchasing Department to advertise for bids for batteries and new vehicles for both the City and County alike?  …we find this procedure interesting since all three (3) board members are appointed by the Mayor and none are appointed by the County?
IS IT TRUE at the JULY 23rd meeting of the Evansville Board Of Public Works approved $3,254.00 in Community Development Block Grant money to pay 50% for new a sign for the Zestos fast food restaurant located on West Franklin Street right off North Main Street? …this issue was approved by the board by a 3-0 vote?
IS IT TRUE on July 23, 2020, at the Board Of Public Works meeting the board approved award $10,000 in Community Development Block Grant money to EEMSCO (Electric Motor & Mechanical Services)?  …that EEMSCO (Electric Motor & Mechanical Services) is a fifth-generation family business located in the Jacobsville area?  …this grant was award to the  EEMSCO (Electric Motor & Mechanical Services ) to purchase cleaning supplies to help keep their employees safe? …this issue was approved by the board 3-0?
IS IT TUE that the Evansville Board Of Public Works continued to make quick decisions of agenda items brought before them at the July 30th, 2020 meeting?  …there were only four (4) four new items on their agenda, not including approval of bills and payroll?  …that this meeting only lasted around five minutes?
IS IT TRUE at the July 30th meeting of the Evansville Board Of Public Works approved a Historic Commercial Façade Grant Agreement with Lic’s Deli & Ice Cream buy a new exterior storefront awning?  …this Historic Commercial Facade Grant funding agreement will not exceed 50% of the total cost of the new awning up to $10,000?  …this issue was approved by the board 3-0?
IS IT TRUE on July 30, 2020 meeting of the Evansville  Board Of Public Works the board approved a second amendment agreement with the City and Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County?  …it’s our understanding that this second amendment agreement will allow for operating funds for the Home investment Program to be extended thru 12/31/2020 by using funds from HUD?  …the board voted 3-0 to approve to the amendment without giving any financial details or discussion concerning this issue?
IS IT TRUE it looks like Vanderburgh County Treasurer Susan Kirk has opened a can of political worms concerning the possibility of a taxpayer’s sponsored board not given the proper due diligence when it comes to discussing the people business? Â …we are told that the future actions and decisions of the Evansville Board Of Public Works will be scrutinized by individuals that expect that individuals sitting on this board practice good public policy?
IS IT TRUE when the people fear the Government we have Tyranny! Â When the Government fears the people we have Liberty?
IS IT TRUE our “READERS POLLS†are non-scientific but trendy?

It is important to point out the economic devastation caused by the failure to contain the COVID outbreak throughout Vanderburgh County and the City of Evansville. Restaurants? Closed. Schools? Closed.
The White House has claimed it did a good job, and while many were critical that was a gross exaggeration…NOW, with COVID deaths rising at a rate of near 1500 a day now?…It is CLEAR the White House has FAILED.
Now it looks like Schools will STILL NOT BE SAFE to reopen this Fall. That is DISGUSTING.
We have all paid the price of the Trump Adminstration’s failure:
1. Loss of jobs. 18% real unemployment. Highest unemployment rate in 60 years.
2. United States GDP fell 33%. 33% !!! Growing GDP? No. Biggest drop in 70 years.
3. Is COVID contained by now? NO IT IS NOT!!! It is still growing! Deaths are rising!
We are in the 4th year of Trump’s term folks. He’s supposed to be skilled at managing things by now.
Forget that!
Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?
Are you?
Is the country in a better condition than it was 4 years ago?
3 Months Of Hell: U.S. Economy Drops 32.9% In Worst GDP Report Ever ~
The coronavirus pandemic triggered the sharpest economic contraction in modern American history, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.
Gross domestic product — the broadest measure of economic activity — shrank at an annual rate of 32.9% in the second quarter as restaurants and retailers closed their doors in a desperate effort to slow the spread of the virus, which has killed more than 150,000 people in the U.S.
The economic shock in April, May and June was more than three times as sharp as the previous record — 10% in 1958 — and nearly four times the worst quarter during the Great Recession.

U.S. economy contracted at fastest quarterly rate on record from April to June on Trump’s Watch ~
GDP shrank at an annual rate of 32.9 percent, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the agency that publishes the statistics on quarterly economic activity.
The drop in gross domestic product was the fastest the quarterly rate has fallen in modern record-keeping. As the ground beneath the economy buckled amid the coronavirus pandemic, tens of millions of jobs were erased, businesses were gutted and the future of the economy became further intertwined with an uncontrolled public health crisis.
On Thursday, the government also reported that jobless claims increased once again last week to 1.4 million, another sign that any recovery is stalling.

I am way better off than I was four years ago and most people are. We are mostly not better off than we were in February of 2020 and that is entirely due to the COVID19 pandemic. The same goes for the USA. The country was better off in February 2020 than it was in February 2017 when Trump was elected. The nation is not better than it was in February and the reasons are all COVID19 related. Our security has been compromised by the mayor’s of the big democrat run cities failing to mobilize their police forces to protect the businesses and residences of their citizens. Our economic future is uncertain due to the various responses of mayors and governors to the COVID19 crisis. The Trump Administration has done little to help as they have no constitutional authority to do so plus some mayors have demanded the federal enforcement officers stay out of their cities. One would have to be an idiot to lack the powers of observation to recognize this. If the shoe fits, put the sucker on.
Oooh. You’re trying to hard, and it ain’t working.
Trump was never an advocate of wearing a mask, UNTIL it became obvious he should have been on DAY ONE.
Now? It’s no longer a question of IF wearing a mask helps COVID from spreading, OF COURSE IT HELPS keep it from spreading.
That battle? Its is LOST. COVID is killing people, AND killing the ECONOMY and JOBS.
Failure in LEADERSHIP is Trump failure #1.
The economic cost is overwhelming.
Worst GDP Loss is 70 years!
Worst unemployment in over 60 years!
Go ahead. Sell that swamp land. Your problem is your standing in swamp water that’s up to your neck Teddy!!
Reaching deep into the bag of nonsense. Who else said we did not need a mask? Dr. Tony Fauci said we did not need a mask and the virus was not much of a threat at all in the early days. Protesters have killed people too dude. You had just as well blame Angela Merkel for our problems as Trump. They have the same authority over American states and you probably know it but your terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome blinds you to that reality. I do not think Trump has done a wonderful job but I do have a mind that is unbiased enough to recognize that the Governors and especially Cuomo and Newsom have presided over more problems of their own doing than Trump has. I wear a mask and keep my distance. I always have since day one. Your stats are all correct. Your blame algorithm is fatally flawed.
Ha! You are the problem! You brought this upon the country, and now you want to blame other people!
ONE GUY is President. The buck stops at the Oval Office after 4 years in Office, buddy.
Trump, literally, has the worst economic record of any President in US history. YOU are EMBARRASSED. You should be.
But you are NOT going to be successful trying to slither away from the mess you’ve made.
Trump is the most deserved one-term President in history.
What the hell you are thinking….BS like you just wrote.
Mr T.R., I have read total trash in here a lot. You take the prize for being unwilling to be accountable for results. You made your bed. Trump deserves what’s coming.
More than 151,000 Americans have died in a pandemic that Trump first ignored, then politicized and mismanaged. He called it a hoax and said it would magically just disappear.
The United States, despite having just 4% of the world’s population, accounts for around 25% of global coronavirus infections and has the most deaths.
Trump has failed the country by his lack of leadership in organizing, leading, directing and controlling a National Response Plan for COVID-19.
The country is in a mess to say the least. most democrat controlled cities are adding to the mess. We have 2 choices in November, Biden a democrat who stated he would not stop travel from china. And a group of democrat mayors who messed up the shut down like a botched abortion. Biden is clueless and there’s not a democrat alive who can help him or the country. The only one with the intellectual activity to solve our problems created by democrats is Trump. We may be past the tipping point with the democrat war against the police and the freedom for democrat criminals to commit crimes unhindered. When I see the chaos in Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Portland, Tempe, Phoenix, Milwaukee, NYC, DC and other democrat cesspools I can almost hear the democrats do a sign of relief as they proclaim, Mission Accomplished.
This guy, Newspeak, is nakedly trying to slither away from the truth too.
“Christ. We’ve screwed this up so bad! Who can we blame for this!!!!”
IS THE COUNTRY BETTER OFF THAN 4 YEARS AGO?
18% Real Unemployment!
33% DROP, not an increase of 3%, but a DROP of 33%, worst in 70 years!
Grow up N’speak.
Trump has the intellectual activity to solve our problems? When is he going to marshal a National Response Plan for COVID-19? The 31st of Never!
Trump hired someone to take his SAT. He has the vocabulary of a 3rd grader. He lies constantly.
The country is in a mess alright. All on Trump’s watch.
Who are you people? Trump is being judged on results.
He’s failed. No more time in office. It’s over.
I wonder why you would vote for a liar like Trump. I mean its one thing if the US was better off than four years ago. But the economy is a mess!
I think you vote for a member of your tribe.
You don’t care if he’s bad at his job. At least we know that is true newspeak.
are you serious? you admit the country is a mess.
who is president sir? he’s had 4 years, and if its a mess, he’s a goner
True, it’s a mess but only the areas controlled by democrats. I’m excited about defunding the police, I hope this gets accomplished before mid august. Glad to see the democrats releasing all those prisoners. The best conservative is a liberal that’s been mugged, assaulted, robbed or otherwise a victim of democrat policies.
i vote on the economy. jobs are gone and people are sick and dying. it sucks
ive never seen anything worse my parents say they’ve never seen anything worse than whats going on. its a disaster.
someone has to pay with their head.
he is right. trump has been president 4 f’n years. i liked the guy, now i know nothing he says is true. really. nothing trump says is honest
Right. Finally a truth teller!
I don’t believe it, our city gives away money to what I would consider good established businesses (been in business 50 years or more) and for WHAT? Does that help the rest of us who struggle everyday to keep our employees employed and safe while we offer a great service to our community. What is the real value of two ice cream shops in our economy who have current signs (while people are not going there do to the COVID). I think Ms Kirk had it right there still seems there are behind the deals going on in the back rooms of the civic center.(In my fathers time it would have been called Cronyism or Political Patriogison.
Most of these comments don’t belong in this section.

Message to the new gun owners, all 3 million of them, Beto is coming to visit you if Biden wins. 911 will have a new menu.
