IS IT TRUE that the Evansville City Councilwoman from the Third Ward, Anna Hargis has announced her resignation from the City Council?…the Evansville City Council will now be without a Certified Public Accountant for the first time since former Councilman John Friend decided not to seek re-election?…competent financial analysis is something the Evansville City Council does not seem to listen to with or without a CPA on the dais so Councilwoman Hargis may have been wasting her talent on the tax and spend cast of elected officials anyway?…Hargis will be moving on to bigger and better things like managing other people’s money at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor?…that sort of takes advantage of the time spent on the City Council where all that happens is taking money from one person and giving it to others in one form or another?…at least the role of financial advisor has a profit motive involved and the accountability of customer disappointment if the profits are not realized?…we certainly wish the University of Evansville graduate a long and successful career as a financial advisor and hope to God that Wayne Parke and the Vanderburgh County Republican Party appoints someone who has the brains to do analysis and the chutzpah to keep the tax and spend club known as the Evansville City Council from driving the city into bankruptcy?

IS IT TRUE that the founding general manager of the downtown Doubletree Hotel has tendered his resignation but has not yet disclosed where he will be going?…this is not a sign of any trouble in paradise as start-up general managers and plain old every day general managers are cut from a different cloth?…we do understand by virtue of a text message from Mole #12 that there was some trouble in paradise last Saturday night at the Doubletree when 3 guests were trapped in an elevator on the fourth floor and had to be extricated because the elevator which had lost its ability to stop where it was supposed to?…we have gotten several reports of growing pains over the course of the last 5 months since the Doubletree opened?…we are confident with the start-up general manager leaving town that everything at the downtown Evansville Doubletree will be utopian and free unicorn rides will be available on the proposed 10th floor rooftop martini bar?

IS IT TRUE that Evansville’s Olympic Gold Medalist Lilly King has made news again?…the former Reitz Lady Panther has broken the world record in the 100 meter backstroke at the World Championships in elegant form as she did last summer at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics?…the City County Observer and all of Evansville is very proud of what this likable young lady has accomplished in the pool?

IS IT TRUE that Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump finally got a win yesterday with the passage of the bill that will allow discussions on the floor of the Senate regarding what to do about the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known in some circles as the Unaffordable Care Act for its over 100% rise in insurance premiums, sky high deductibles and oppressive co-payments?…people have not forgotten that the ACA was born in deceptions like “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor”, “If you like your plan you can keep your plan”, and “the average family will be saving $2,500 per year if we (Democrats) pass the ACA?…the chickens of those deceptions have come home to roost and are not appreciated at all outside of a small group with pre-existing conditions and some people who are getting a free ride?…it is now up to all of the members of congress to own up to the problems created by this partisan monstrosity and work together to repair whatever the heck the ACA actually turned out to be?

        “The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) is reportedly investigating several smashed hard drives seized from the home of two Pakistan-born brothers who worked as IT workers for former DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).

        “The suspects in this probe are people who worked for a long time for Democratic members in the House,” Daily Caller investigative reporter Luke Rosiak reportedly told FOX Business Network. “Brothers named Imran Awan, Abid Awan and Jamal Awan and they are criminal suspects,” Rosiak said. “Imran worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz for a long time.””

  3. I think General Patton would approve of this common sense. It’s refreshing to finally have a Commander in Chief that understands the military is for fighting and defeating enemies, and not a giant liberal gender blending experiment:

    United States will not “accept or allow” transgender people in the United States military, saying American forces “must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory” and could not afford to accommodate them.

    Mr. Trump made the surprise declaration in a series of posts on Twitter, saying he had come to the decision after talking to generals and military experts, whom he did not name.

    “After consultation with my generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military,” Mr. Trump wrote. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

    • I’m not a Trump supporter Joe but I must agree with Him on this one.

      Transgenders are not Real Americans. If you defraud your fellow Americans out of $25 million dollars, walk in on naked teenagers just because you can get away with it and have all your products made overseas, now that is what is considered a Real American now-a-days.

      Only problem is, everyone who defrauds their fellow Americans out of money, walk in on naked teenagers and have their junk made overseas seem to all have bone spurs and cannot sign up to fill the military ranks.

      So we need to use a little discretion on who can and who cannot serve so we don’t come up short on enlistments.

      BUT, if people with bone spurs can be discriminated against and not allowed in, I don’t see why transgenders should be either. Even though the transgenders presently serving showed more courage by enlisting.

  5. The people in question do not have the slightest desire to serve their country by enlisting in the military. They just want the taxpayers to pick up the tab for their reassignment surgeries. Once they have achieved that they will do what ever it takes to get out. An dishonorable discharge does not mean anything to a person without honor in the first place. The military is not a laboratory for democrat social experiments.

Chelsea Manning, the transgender soldier and convicted national security secret leaker, will remain an active-duty, unpaid soldier, eligible for health care and other benefits, following her scheduled release May 17 from military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, according to the Army.

      Manning entered prison as a man named Bradley. Manning changed her name, identified as a woman and received hormone treatment while incarcerated. Her sentence was commuted in the final days of the Obama administration, a move that infuriated some in the military and President Trump.

    The man who was the catalysts to giving us our last balanced budget against all odds and political strong opposition and who also knows something, (If not everything) about how our system of governance works.
