IS IT TRUE the buzz we are hearing about todays Evansville Brownfield Corp. meeting at Vectren Corporate offices is making us wonder about this not-for-profit organization more than ever?
IS IT TRUE we understand that past Evansville Brownfield board meetings have been held around town in various upscale restaurants?  … the one scheduled for today was originally to be held  at a restaurant located on Haynie’s Corner?  …It would be interesting to know whether or not if the taxpayers are footing the bill for the fine dining experiences of the Evansville Brownfield Corp Board?
IS IT TRUEÂ having todays Brownfield Corp meeting at an upscale restaurant would not be a suitable venue to hold a public meeting, but the choice of Vectren seems odd? Â … several potential attendees from the general public have commented on being “turned off” by having to pass guards to attend a public meeting at the plush Vectren Corporate Headquarters?
IS IT TRUE we’ve pleased that DMD Director Kelly Coures has invited City Council members to attend todays Brownfield meeting?
IS IT TRUE the Principal Officer, (secretary-treasurer) of Evansville Brownfield Corp. is Carolyn Rusk? Â …Carolyn Rusk is employed by DMD? Â ,,,,the name and address of principal officer of Evansville Brownfield Corp listed on several IRS 990 tax form is DMD employee CAROLYN RUSK whose office is located at 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr , Civic Center in room, 306 EVANSVILLE, IN 47708?
IS IT TRUE one of the things we find most problematic about this issue is the fact that we can’t find any notice to the public about this meeting in the mainstream media? …Evansville Brownfield Corp. is subsidized  by taxpayers money and we wonder if they should have given a forty-eight hour public notice about todays meeting?
IS IT TRUE the other big problem we have with the way todays Brownfield meeting is being conducted is that we are told by second hand sources that the meeting will begin at 1:30 and then quickly go into a private Executive session for an hour or so before holding the public part of the meeting starts? Â …if the public shows up at 1:30 they shall sit for an hour waiting for the public session to begin?
IS IT TRUE THE Foundation Finder report that one of our bloggers sent us shows that the Evansville Brownfield Corp filed an IRS 990 report back in 2004?  …THE Foundation Finder reported that from 2005 to 2011 the Evansville Brownfield Corp. didn’t file an IRS 990 report?  …the Foundation Finder-990 report did show that Evansville Brownfield Corp did file reports in 2012, 2013 and 2014?
IS IT TRUE attached below is a link to THE FOUNDATION FINDER-990 web site for local  not-for -profits for you to look at the Evansville Brownfield Corp IRS-990 tax reports for 2004, 2012, 2013 and 2014?

I am not sure id any of these online search sites go back farther than a few years on their Form-990 filings. If you know on any site that does have filings going back to corporation formations, please post a link to that website.

Kevon Axsom, President, Evansville Brownfields Corporation:

Three other employees of fctuckeremge.com are: Evansville Common Council member Missy Mosby, Evansville Common Council member Jonathan Weaver, and Carolyn McClintcok wife of Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
There seems to be quite a lot of intermingling of the interests of FC Tucker Realty employees, DMD, and Brownfields. It almost appears to be incestuous.
Now Vectren is associating itself with Brownfields. They need to get a clue about public relations. The public doesn’t like the company to begin with, so why are they buddying up to Brownfield?

It would not look good, as far as trying to project the appearance of an arm’s-length relationship between the Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development and the Evansville Brownfields Corporation, if the meetings were held on the third floor of the Civic Center Complex. Of course we all know there is no “arm’s-length” relationship there, and there never has been.
I’m not sure Vectren cares about being liked. The business is a regulated monopoly. The constituent is the PSC/State.
Exactly, which is what pisses me off about their endless ad campaigns and sponsorships for sports teams as if customers habe a choice! And they can justify their outrageous rates based in part on expenses, regardless of whether they’re frivolous or not.
We rate payers built and maintain a posh office building, with really good security.
Evansville Common Council Resolution C 2015-13 (transfer of funds)

Since these amounts are rather “open-ended”, one wonders just how much the City Controller actually “borrowed” to keep the cash flowing in the city’s General Fund?
Just hearing the name of Vectren ticks most people off. Most people never heard of Brownfields, but the ones who have probably get mad at hearing it.
I wonder what that audit report next Tuesday is going to show. I heard it is really looking bad.
“todays” (6 locations in the article) is plural. “today’s” is possessive which is the word that should be used.
I’m still trying to figure out what is a “Corporative”.
Carolyn Rusk is listed in the 2012 form 990 filing for Evansville Brownfields as working 20 hours a week for the corporation.
Carolyn Rusk is also identified by the City of Evansville as being an employee of the Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development, specifically, its Brownfields coordinator. One would assume that position is a 40 hour a week position.
http://evansville.in.gov/index.aspx?recordid=1778&page=18
Is Carolyn really spending 60 hours a week on Brownfields related business?
So long Evansville. We are shopping for another home now!! Will not be sorry at all to leave this crap behind, including but not limited to local government and Vectren. Please clean up the river before you turn out the lights guys. There are some good people here but not enough to erase the stink and negativity.
CITY WILL DEMOLISH HEIDELBACH AVENUE FLEA MARKET
http://www.courierpress.com/news/who-owns-that/city-demolishing-flea-market-by-bosse-field-owner-force-to-pay-2a830b6f-c9fd-7891-e053-0100007f7ac3-367099111.html
There is no [Scarlet Portfolio LLC] registered as active or inactive with the California SOS at this time. Scarlet’s current address appears to be 2711 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, its registered agent.
It says that Scarlet bought the mortgage but never took title to the property. That would mean that Victoria still owned the property. Did Scarlet ever make property tax payments on the 1500 Heidelbach property, or were they content to let the city of Evansville try, unsuccessfully, to get their property tax payments from Victoria (Stallings)?
And now the C&P article tells us that when the demolition is complete Scarlet emerges as owner of the property. Make of this what you will, but I bet I know who has been doing WITHOUT their just tax revenue over the years, and it is the same people who will pick up the tab for the demolition: the taxpayers!

BTW Scarlet Portfolio LLC, which purportedly will own the property after the demolition, is not registered with the Indiana SOS either.
Does that mean that Jim Stallings (and his wife Holly) get to walk free, Carte Blanche, with no responsiblity and just another addition to their list of failures?

For someone with that many failures they seem to be able to open businesses without anyone questioning their fiancial ability. Where does their start-up money come from (hint: follow the trail to Mommy in Tampa, FL).
