IS IT TRUE we have been told at tonights Evansville City Council meeting that President Alex Burton (D) will appoint Republican Ron Beane (R as Finance Chairmen of the 2020 City Council? Â …we are also told that the other two newly elected City Council members Ben Trockman (D), Kaitin Moore Morley (D) and Zac Herronemus will be appointed by President Burton as City Department Liaisons?
IS IT TRUE we been told that the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party will be challenging every Vanderburgh County Republican officeholder and candidate running this year?
IS IT TRUE we been told that Vanderburgh County Magistrate Gary Schutte is considering to be a candidate to replace the retiring Vanderburgh County Superior Court Judge Tornatta on the Vanderburgh County Superior Court? Â …that Magistrate Schutte has the unconditional support of a couple of individuals who have a close relationship with Governor Eric Holcomb? …this is definitely a developing story because we are hearing that there is a long list of extremely talented and qualified retired and practicing attorneys who are applying for this most prestigious position?
IS IT TRUE that the Republican candidate for County Commissioner District #1 Reverend William D. Garrett labels himself as a conservative community leader? Â …we are also told that this race may be getting a little more interesting because it’s possible that Zac Rascher may announce this week that he will be a candidate for the District #1 County Commission race? Â …that the winner of the Republican primary will be running against the extremely popular and well-financed incumbent Vanderburgh County Commissioner Ben Shoulders (D) in the general election? Â …it’s projected that Commissioner Shoulders will have around $200,000 in his political war chest at the end of the April reporting period? …if re-elected County Commissioner Ben Shoulders would become the youngest Commissioner to be re-elected since 1984?
IS IT TRUE that this coming Thursday Democratic Vanderburgh County Commissioners Ben Shoulders and Jeff Hatfield are hosting a monster political fundraiser at the Veterans And Soldiers Coliseum? …around 375 people are planning to attend the sold-out event?
IS IT TRUE that the current Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear (D) had his re-election campaign kickoff event last Thursday evening? Â …that Mr. Lockyear’s political fundraiser was held at Lamasco Bar and was very well attended?
IS IT TRUE we been told that several people are considering running against District #77 State Representative Ryan Hatfield in the primary and generals elections?
IS IT TRUE that County Commissioner District #3 candidate Gabriel Whitley (R) recently resigned his candidacy so he can to support Ronald Chapman? …Ronald Chapman is now the new Republican County Commission candidate running against incumbent Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave (R) in the primary?… Commissioner Musgrave has over $103,000 cash on hand and could become the first female to ever win re-election to the Vanderburgh County Commission?
IS IT TRUEÂ that Greg Peete was considering running for the Vanderburgh County Council seat but has now ruled it out? …the Republican At-Large Vanderburgh County Council ticket could be Joe Kiefer, Angela Koehler Lindsay? ….that several people tell us that would like to Zac Rascher run for the Vanderburgh County Council the Republican At-Large seat? …we are also told that the Democrat At-Large Vanderburgh County Council ticket will be Mike Goebel, Ed Bassemeier and Amy Back?
IS IT TRUEÂ we been told that that the new President /CEO of the not-for-profit Evansville Convention And Visitor Bureau is being paid a whopping $175,000 a year not including benefits? …if this information is correct he’s being paid more than the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Evansville, Vanderburgh County Sheriff, Director of DMD, Evansville Fire and Police Chiefs and every appointed Department head in Vanderburgh County? Â …we wonder what kind of marketing superpower does the new CEO/President of the CVB have to warrant this type of unreasonable starting salary minus benefits?
IS IT TRUE that the Evansville Convention And Visitors Bureau has a couple of vacant positions because of the abrupt resignations of two (2) long term employees? Â …we are told that the Evansville Convention And Visitors Bureau doesn’t have any minorities serving on their Board of Directors or in their employment? …at this point it looks like “E Isn’t For Everyone” at the CVB?
IS IT TRUEÂ that the former Vanderburgh County Commissioner Dave Mosby had triple bypass heart surgery last week? Â …we are pleased to report that he going well?
IS IT TRUE when the people fear the Government we have Tyranny! Â When the Government fears the people we have Liberty
