IS IT TRUE we are happy to report that Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has decided to pay down the serious shortfall in the employee health plan next year?  …it’s now time for him to put out an RFP to area insurance carriers for a more affordable employee health care plan?

IS IT TRUE that William Hill is launching a “Sportsbook” at Tropicana-Evansville in September, pending approval by the Indiana Gaming Commission?   …the “Sportsbook”, will be located in the current 421 Lounge and is scheduled to open in time for  2019 football season?

IS IT TRUE that the new “Sportsbook” at Tropicana-Evansville will offer the opportunity to bet on all major sporting events such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, mixed martial arts, golf, soccer, auto racing, and more?

IS IT TRUE we are told that many patrons at Tropicana-Evansville are extremely disappointed that the new “Sportbook” will not be carrying simulcast horse racing?

IS IT TRUE we also been told by those in the know feel if Tropicana-Evansville carried simulcast horse racing it would have a serious negative impact on Ellis Park bottom-line?

IS IT TRUE we been told by those in the know that the new “Sportbook” at Tropicana-Evansville will have a negative impact on Ellis Park bottom line?

IS IT TRUE three Republican City Council candidates are having a ‘Meet and Greet’ tonight?  …Tim O’Bryan (First Ward), Natalie Rascher (Second Ward) and Ron Beane (At-Large) are hosting this event? …that the local GOP  must win all three (3) seats in order to put them in a position to take control of the Evansville City Council?
IS IT TRUE that we are told by reliable sources that current Evansville City Council members Justin Elpers, Alex Burton and Jim Brinkmeyer are leading their races by a comfortable margin?
IS IT TRUE we are told that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd City Council Wards races are going to be very competitive?
IS IT TRUE that the Democrats controlled the Evansville City Council for over 50 years? … since Republican Mayor Lloyd Winnecke was elected to office the Democrats controlled City Council but he has gotten almost everything he wants?
IS IT TRUE  the Shoulders Family is hosting their annual ‘Shoulders Family Lecture Series’ tomorrow at Harrison High School in the “Shoulders Family Commons” at 6 pm? …this year’s speaker is none other than IU Men’s Basketball Coach, Archie Miller?   …doors open at 5:30 pm and is free to the public?
IS IT TRUE we are told the fourth annual “Vanderburgh County Commissioners Cup Golf” outing on Sep 20th is officially sold out?  …this outing will have more than 250 golfers signed up for this event and is predicted to raise around $100,000?
IS IT TRUE we are told that Danks and Danks law firm are refurbishing a 1989 “Chance Trolley”?  ….this Trolley will be transporting people to area events at no costs?  …we are also told that Danks and Danks are planning to refurbish a second Trolley during the next several days?  …we thank the Danks And Danks Law group for providing this service to the community free of charge?
