Indiana State Police Investigate Crash Involving School Bus, No Injuries Reported

user29376-1389204567-media1_a8c6dc_240_180_PrsMe_Vanderburgh County – Seven students and their school bus driver escaped injury this morning after the driver of a pickup truck lost control on an icy road and slammed into the rear of their bus. At approximately 6:45 this morning, a school bus loaded with seven students had stopped on Upper Mt. Vernon Road approximately 450’ west of Dieffenbach Road to pick up another student. A pickup truck driven by Jesse Kemper, Jr, 20, of Evansville, was eastbound on Upper Mt. Vernon Road when his vehicle slid on ice striking the rear of the stopped school bus. No injuries were reported. Kemper’s pickup truck was totaled. The school bus received minor damage.
