Imagination Library providing books to young children

Are you the parent of a child under the age of 5? You may be eligible to receive one free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The Imagination Library is an organization dedicated to inspiring a love of reading, and thanks to funding in the state’s new two-year budget, the program is now statewide.

For communities with a current program, the Imagination Library of Indiana is open to any child from birth to their 5th birthday. Children receive free, age-appropriate books mailed directly to their home every month. Now, thanks in part to funding approved by the General Assembly, the Imagination Library of Indiana is expanding to bring on more partners and extend coverage to all eligible children in its 92 counties.

Did you know? Children who are read to more often have improved language and listening skills, experience stronger emotional connections to their loved ones, and gain a lifelong love of reading.

Be sure to share this opportunity with other parents who may benefit from building their home library. For more information on the Imagination Library, click here.
