  1. So the mayor has paid someone to lobby for the hotel with tax payer money and he wonders why we don’t trust him

    • It appears this is exactly what has happened.

He charges $200/hr to consult by email with City Council members and Administration people. Records indicate he is meticulous about billing every hour of correspondence. It’s likely the latest lobbying efforts such as the recent memo and letter to the press, not to mention his possible appearance before the City Council on Monday, will be billed $200/hr via some later invoice.

There are multiple instances of travel, including thousands in airfare and hotel stays in these records.

      • It won’t be billed now that you are onto them…at least through the normal channels.

  2. How can they spend this kind of money without city council approval? What budget is it coming out of?
