University of Southern Indiana Women’s Golf placed fourth out of eight teams at the UIS Spring Invite Saturday afternoon at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois.
Junior Taylor Howerton (Evansville, Indiana) paced the Screaming Eagles placing fifth in the 48-player field. After a round one 82, she took five strokes off her day two score for a 77, finishing with a 15-over 159.
As a team, the Eagles shot a 92-over 668 (342-326) to finish fourth, just three strokes behind William Jewell College.
Up next for USI is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship April 28-30 at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Illinois.
