Indiana University swimmers continued to post strong performances on Sunday at the 2019 World University Games in Napoli, Italy.
Current Hoosier swimmer Gabriel Fantoni, swimming for Team Brazil, placed fifth overall in the Championship Final of the men’s 50 backstroke with a time of 25.12.
In the Championship Final of the women’s 100 backstroke, Team Canada and IU postgraduate swimmer Kennedy Goss finished fifth overall with a mark of 1:00.87.
Also for the Hoosier postgrads, Zach Apple earned the No. 2 seed for Monday’s Championship Final of the 100 freestyle, posting a time of 25.12 in the semifinals on Sunday.
