November 16, 1963, t he first touch-tone telephones roll off the line at the Bell Telephone Western Electric plant on the east side of Indianapolis.

November 19, 1752, George Rogers Clark is born in Virginia. He becomes the “Conqueror of the Old Northwest,” taking Vincennes from the British.

November 20, 1880, Governor James “Blue Jeans” Williams dies in office. He lies in state at the Marion County Courthouse. Lt. Gov. Isaac Gray serves the remaining two months of the Governor’s term.

November 21, 1959, Chrysler Field House opens in New Castle. It is the world’s largest high school gym .
