A home located in the Greater Oakhill area north of Evansville was struck by a vehicle this afternoon.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Bergdolt Road at approximately 3:25 pm on Friday, October 1, 2020. Upon arrival, deputies observed that a mini-van had crashed into the side of a residence. The van came to rest nearly halfway inside the home. A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the van had left the roadway after suffering from a medical issue.
The residence, located in the 4700 block of Bergdolt Road, sustained heavy damage. The homeowner was inside at the time of the crash, however no injuries were reported. The driver of the van was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Representatives from the Vanderburgh County Building Commission responded to the scene to assess the damage done to the home. The crash remains under investigation.
