Governor Eric J. Holcomb will attend the fourth meeting of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board in Indianapolis and gave the following statement:
“I’m thrilled to welcome the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board to Indiana and showcase what we’re laser focused on achieving – skilling up every Hoosier. The board will have an opportunity to see the truly transformational work taking place at the Indiana Women’s Prison. I’m proud to partner with the board in our shared mission of strengthening our pipeline of skilled workers, ensuring Americans have the tools and training they need to secure high-wage careers, and growing our 21st century economy.â€
Gov. Holcomb is one of the 25 members of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board. He will welcome Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump along with other members of the board to Indiana today by giving a tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Tomorrow, the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board will tour of the Indiana Women’s Prison where they will tour, learn, and meet participants in a unique workforce development program called The Last Mile. After the tour, the group will convene for the meeting of the board.
