Any family touched by cancer is invited to RSVP and attend the free event.
Gilda’ Club Evansville is hosting a family friendly Cinco de Mayo party for those families touched by cancer. The free event is on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:30-7pm at Garvin Park, located 1800 N. Main St., Evansville, Indiana. The event will include food, arts & crafts and music. The first 100 attendees will receive a free t-shirt.
Gilda’s Club Evansville has officially launched their Family Connect program for families, including children living with cancer and for children impacted by a loved one’s cancer diagnosis. This event at Garvin Park is one such event they have planned throughout the year to reach out within the local community to those families touched by cancer and let them know about the programs at Gilda’s Club.
“Through Gilda’s Club Family Connect activities, we want to bring families and the community together for fun so no one faces cancer alone,†Debbie Folz, Program Director, stated.
