This Saturday’s University of Evansville Aces Men’s basketball game takes place on the Ford Center’s 2nd Year Anniversary. It was on November 9, 2011 when the Ford Center opened its doors with the legendary Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. The show was sold out and Evansville was put on the map as the new regional destination for sports and entertainment.

Fans at this Saturday’s game will be able to purchase specially priced popcorn for only $2.00 at concession stands in recognition of the two year anniversary.

Update! It won’t be long before the millionth customer enters the Ford Center either. VenuWorks has arranged a special prize package for the Millionth Customer so keep supporting all events including local Men’s and Women’s Aces basketball and IceMen hockey teams. Who knows, it could be YOU that becomes the millionth customer.

“The people of Evansville and ticket buyers around the region have proven the asset which Ford Center provides. With a two year anniversary and the cusp of the millionth customer coming soon, success continues to mount as we prepare for the upcoming months providing patrons with quality and diverse sports and entertainment” said Executive Director Scott Schoenike.

“VenuWorks is proud to manage Ford Center and congratulates Evansville on another successful year. Happy 2nd Anniversary,” stated VenuWorks President Steve Peters, CFE

The Ford Center launches into a busy event season with the Hadi Shrine Circus November 28 – December 1, Jeff Dunham December 8, the Bill Gaither Christmas Homecoming Tour December 13, Zac Brown Band December 29, Monster Jam 2014 January 10-11, The Original Harlem Globetrotters January 17, the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular January 30, and the re-scheduled Lady Antebellum show April 10.
