FOOT NOTE for front door pride home

CCO EDITOR FOOTNOTE: This letter was sent to us yesterday.  We wonder if the homes referenced in this letter were some of the overpriced and overbuilt “FRONT DOOR PRIDE” homes constructed in the Haynes Corner area when Jonathan Weinzapfel was Mayor.  

We recall some of the “Front Door Pride”  homes were hard to sell because of the sale price.  If our memory serves us correctly the “FRONT DOOR PRIDE” homes located in the Haynes Corner area had to be leased in order to keep them from being vacant for a long period of time.

We welcome Nikki Waller, Director of Financial & Relational Development for Hope to refresh our memory concerning the above statements about the Haynes Corner “FRONT DOOR PRIDE” home program when Jonathan Weinzapfel was Mayor of Evansville.
We also welcome her to correct any misstatements we may have unintentionally made about the status of the home they own at 101 East Tennessee Street.
