Florida Armed Robbery Fugitive Arrested

On Thursday, January 21, 2016 the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office arrested a fugitive from Florida who was wanted on armed robbery charges.

The incident began Thursday morning when deputies responded to the 5000 block of Amstel Drive in Hornbook Estates to investigate a complaint of marijuana use. Deputies spoke to Mr. Life Huhammed Dismuke II at his apartment about the complaint. Deputies did not detect the odor or marijuana coming from Mr. Dismuke’s apartment at that time.

Upon returning to his vehicle, a sheriff’s deputy checked Mr. Dismuke’s name against the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant database. The deputy discovered that Mr. Dismuke was wanted out of Hillsborough County, Florida on charges of robbery with a firearm.

Additional personnel where then requested to respond, including members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Dismuke was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Dismuke was transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail and is currently being held without bond pending extradition back to Florida.
