Fall Festival Week is Here

Today marks the start of the Westside Nutclub Fall Festival, and there is no rain in the weather forecast. That means that the crowds will be big as the 120 non-profit food booths dish out a wide variety of good eats from 10 AM to 9 PM.

Rides will be open throughout the week—Monday through Thursday from 2 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 12 PM to 10 PM, and Saturday from 11 AM to 10:30 PM.

Today, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Sassafras Acoustic String Band will be playing. The UE Basketball Yeam introductions are at 6 PM, the Lighthouse Parade is at 7 PM, and day one of the Amature Hour is at 8 PM.

Remember, the city offers a shuttle during lunchtime from downtown to the festivals. Shuttles run 11:00 a.m. thru 2:00 p.m. each day every half hour, the shuttle will pick up/drop off from the Westside C.K. Newsome Community Center on the “back 40” parking lot, then at the Civic Center, at the exit of the parking lot at Ninth St., and near the flagpoles on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The shuttle will pick up/ drop off at the Temporary Bus Stop corner of W. Franklin St. and Wabash Ave. on the quarter hour, with the first drop off at 11:15 a.m. the last departure is at 1:45 p.m.
