Those interested in serving as an Indiana State Trooper are encouraged to apply for the 80th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy.
A career with the Indiana State Police could include patrolling Indiana roads, being behind the controls of a helicopter, or handling explosives and firearms with an expert’s touch. Click here to learn more about the responsibilities and duties involved.

Candidates Must Meet The Following Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen;
Must be at least 21 years old, but younger than 40 years old when appointed;
Must have vision correctable to 20/50;
Must have a valid driver’s license;
Must have a high school diploma or GED; and
Must be willing to live and serve anywhere in Indiana.
As a trooper trainee, recruits can earn a bi-weekly salary of $1,615 and a pension. Click here to learn more about the benefits.
