Tentatively set to open in Spring 2014, EVSC employees will have two new health and wellness centers conveniently located in central locations near EVSC schools from which to choose, following tonight’s unanimous vote by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Board of School Trustees.
Employees and family members covered by EVSC health insurance will be able to select a Health and Wellness Center nearest their school location. The two locations are at 1332 Lincoln Avenue and 8601 North Kentucky Avenue. (Mt. Pleasant Complex).
The EVSC Health and Wellness Centers, which will be available at no out-of-pocket cost to eligible employees and their covered family members, will be a cost savings for those employees and ultimately the EVSC, as well as provide the opportunity to improve the quality of employees’ overall health and well-being.
The agreement with Tri-State Community Clinic will also provide for wellness visits by healthcare providers at EVSC schools.
