Evansville Police arrested 21 year old CAMERON DUNBAR on weapons violation charges during a traffic stop on Tuesday evening.
DUNBAR was stopped for having an expired temporary license plate on the car he was driving.
During the stop, officers found a .38 caliber revolver. DUNBAR told officers the gun was his. DUNBAR did not have a permit to possess the gun. Officers also found the serial number had been scratched off to the point of being unreadable.
DUNBAR was arrested for Possession of an Altered Handgun, Possession of a Handgun without a Permit, and traffic violations.
