Evansville Police arrested 19 year old CHRISTOHER DEBOSE following an attempted armed robbery near Fares and Virginia this morning.
Police responded to the robbery at 6:45am and were given a description of the suspect, Debose. An officer spotted him near Fares and Columbia and Debose ran across Hwy 41. Another officer saw Debose run into a vacant home in the 1600 block of E. Indiana. Debose was taken into custody in the home.
The victim of the attempted robbery, Christopher Blessinger, told officers he was walking on Fares near Virginia when Debose walked up to him and asked him some questions. Blessinger said Debose then pulled out a knife and demanded that he empty his pockets. Blessinger told officers he said no and ran away and called 911. Blessinger confirmed Debose was the person who tried to rob him.
Debose was arrested for Attempted Robbery and Resisting Law Enforcement.
