The Evansville Otters will be hosting the annual Military Appreciation Night presented by the VA Clinic this Saturday (Aug. 12) at Bosse Field with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
Active and retired military veterans will be given free admittance with a valid military identification or DD 2-14.
Fans will have the chance to see military vehicles and the VA Clinic will have a mobile counseling unit set up in the ballpark concourse. Plus, Patriotic Soul, a band honoring veterans, will be performing in the concourse before the game.
Ceremonial first pitches will be thrown out by veterans from multiple branches of the military covering various conflicts. Otters players and coaches will also be wearing special military jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.
Gates at Bosse Field will open at 5:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to the game to show their patriotic spirit.
