The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) announced Monday, January 15 that the University of Southern Indiana Men’s Basketball game versus Western Illinois University (WIU) on Thursday, January 25 at the Screaming Eagles Arena has been selected to air live on ESPNU. Tipoff also has been moved to 8 p.m.

USI is also hosting Whiteout Night at the Screaming Eagles Arena for both games of the OVC doubleheader, leading off with USI Women’s Basketball versus WIU at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear white apparel to whiteout the Arena and show their #ScreaglePride!

The first 500 students will receive a white Archie’s Army T-shirt, and the first 300 fans will receive white rally towels. The USI Campus Store has a selection of white T-shirts and additional merchandise in stock, and white USI apparel will also be available in the Screagle Zoneâ„¢ ahead of both games, while supplies last.

ESPNU is visiting the Screaming Eagles Arena for the second-straight season. USI defeated the University of Arkansas at Little Rock last January, 74-67, in the first nationally televised game.

The OVC utilizes a wild card selection process to determine the ESPNU broadcasts with selections announced approximately two weeks before the competition date to ensure the best matchups. The full schedule includes nine total men’s basketball games (six regular season contests and three OVC Tournament games) that will appear on one of the linear networks during the season. The six regular season games will air on ESPNU.

The schedule also includes a women’s basketball regular season matchup on ESPNU. In addition, all seven games of the OVC Women’s Basketball Tournament, as well as the first round and quarterfinals of the men’s tournament (four total games), will stream on ESPN+.

The 2024 OVC Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 6-9 at The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
