The Evansville Police Department will be holding its’ annual Travelling Citizen’s Academy again this summer. The Academy is being hosted by the Nazarene Baptist Church at 867 E. Walnut Ave.
Particpants will meet at the church beginning on Tuesday, June 25th. The weekly sessions will end on Tuesday, August 5th.
The Citizen’s Academy is a chance to build a strong partnership between members of the community and the members of the police department.
During the meetings, officers will give residents an inside look at the EPD. There will be many topics discussed. They include Internal Affiars, Sex Crimes, Gang Task Force, K-9, SWAT, and there is an optional Motor Patrol Ride-Along.
