Today, the bipartisan ballot teams working for the Vanderburgh County Election Office completed their review of the more than 40,000 ballots cast ahead of Election Day at the County’s in-person early voting sites, including the Old National Events Plaza, several area libraries, and a few local churches.  All of those ballots which have been determined to have been validly cast are currently in the process of being electronically tabulated in the Election Office.  The counting of these ballots is expected to continue until approximately 10:00 o’clock this evening, and updated (but likely still incomplete) vote totals will be released at that time.

In the event that all valid early voting ballots have not been tabulated at such time, the counting will begin again at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020.  The Vanderburgh County Election Board fully anticipates having concluded the count and releasing a final, unofficial tally of votes cast in the General Election in Vanderburgh County by some time Thursday afternoon.  

By Indiana law, the official election results for the County cannot be determined until Friday, November 13, 2020, at noon, to permit voters to submit proof in support of any provisional ballots cast during the election an
