University of Southern Indiana Women’s Basketball returns to action Thursday at 5 p.m. when it visits Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. The Screaming Eagles finish the weekend slate Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host No. 4 Drury University at Screaming Eagles Arena.
USI (11-4, 11-4 GLVC) concludes its four-game road trip with its game against Southwest Baptist Thursday.

USI Women’s Basketball Notes (2/9/21)
• DeHart lifts Eagles to much-needed win. Senior guard Emma DeHart scored a career-high 39 points to lift USI Women’s Basketball to a much-needed 96-86 overtime win over Rockhurst Saturday. DeHart, who was 10-of-15 from the floor, 6-of-8 from three-point range and 13-of-16 from the free throw line, scored 28 of her 39 points in the final 15 minutes, including 11 points in the overtime period, as USI snapped a three-game losing streak.
• More on DeHart’s 39 points. DeHart’s 39 points marked the first time a USI player has gone for 30-or-more points in a single game since Morgan Dahlstrom scored 34 in USI’s 64-51 win over Illinois Springfield February 8, 2018. Her 39 points also tied Amie Newhart and LeAnn Freeland for third on USI’s all-time single-game scoring list.
• Overtime and 90 points. USI’s win over Rockhurst marked the first overtime contest for the Eagles since defeating McKendree, 75-73, March 2, 2019. The 96 points USI scored marked the first time since January 18, 2018 the that Eagles have reached the 90-point plateau and were the most for the Eagles since they put up 99 against Missouri S&T February 2, 2017.
• Eagles finish 1-2 on week. The Eagles’ win over Rockhurst gave them a 1-2 mark on the week. USI began the week with a 69-61 loss at Quincy last Tuesday before falling to William Jewell, 70-58, last Thursday.
• Weekly leaders. DeHart averaged 21.7 points and 3.3 assists per game to lead the Eagles, who played all 11 of their players in uniform a minimum average of nearly eight minutes per contest on the week. Sophomore forward Hannah Haithcock added 12.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, while sophomore guard Soffia Rieckers chipped in 8.7 points and 2.7 steals per outing.
• Stark difference. After shooting just 28.1 percent (18-64) from the field in its loss to William Jewell, the Eagles’ shooting woes continued in the first period against Rockhurst as they went 3-of-16 (.188) from the floor. However, the Eagles rebounded to make 30-of-48 shots (.625) to finish the contest with an overall .516 shooting percentage.
• Three-game slide. USI’s three-game losing streak was its longest regular-season slide since dropping 10 in a row during the 2015-16 season.
• USI in national poll. The Eagles dropped out of the WBCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll and are no longer receiving votes in the D2SIDA Top 25 Media Poll following last week’s losses to Quincy and William Jewell.
• GLVC Point Ratings System. The Eagles remained No. 3 in the latest GLVC Point Ratings System (PRS) ranking, which determines the eight teams that will compete in the GLVC Tournament in March. The Eagles have a rating of 3.97, trailing Truman State (4.30) and Drury (4.17). Lewis (3.75) and Lindenwood (3.38) round out the top five, while Missouri-St. Louis (3.33), Indianapolis (3.28) and Illinois Springfield (3.071) round out the top eight teams.
• Season leaders. DeHart leads USI with 16.5 points and 3.3 assists per game, while Haithcock is averaging 12.6 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard Addy Blackwell is contributing 9.0 points and a team-high 1.8 steals per outing. Senior center Audrey Turner leads USI with 0.9 blocks per contest.
• Roaring 20s. DeHart has reached the 20-point plateau four times this year, while Haithcock has one 20-point effort under her belt. USI had five different players reach the 20-point plateau a year ago, including DeHart, Haithcock and Robbe.
• Double-figures. USI has had nine different players reach double-figures in the scoring column this year, with eight players having had 10 or more points in multiple games.
