OMAHA, Neb. – University of Southern Indiana placed sixth at the Big-O Classic with a three-round 882 (292-292-298) at Indian Creek Golf Course in Omaha, Nebraska. The Screaming Eagles, who have had two top-10 finishes in three tournaments this fall, concluded the classic 19 strokes off the pace set by the University of St. Thomas, which posted a one-under 863 (290-284-289).

Individually, sophomore Jason Bannister (Laguna Niguel, California) paced the Screaming Eagles with a 54-hole 216 (70-74-72) to tie for 10th. Bannister posted USI’s best 18-holes of the tournament in the opening round with a 70 that included five birdies.

Junior Jace Day (Bloomington, Indiana) was second on the team and tied for 16th overall with a three-round 219 (72-71-76). The USI top-three was rounded out by senior Zach Williams (Mt. Vernon, Illinois), who had a 221 (74-73-74) and tied for 22nd.

 The Eagles return to action in two weeks when they play in the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club in Florence, Alabama. The tournament is being hosted by the University of North Alabama. Â
