Eagles pick up easy win over Pumas

The 34th-ranked University of Southern Indiana men’s tennis team picked up an easy win over Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Saint Joseph’s College Friday afternoon, defeating the Pumas 9-0.

Sophomore James Hardiman (Backwell Bristol, United Kingdom) won handily at number one singles, 6-0, 6-1. At number two, junior Samuel Kiladejo (London, England) got back on track with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Freshman Denis Davydov (Chorvatsky Grob, Slovakia) also picked up a win, taking a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three.

The Screaming Eagles (15-7, 3-0 GLVC) won singles matches four through six by default. The Eagles also picked up all three doubles wins by default as well.

USI continues GLVC play Sunday when they host Bellarmine at noon at the USI Tennis Courts.
