Eagles Get Narrow Second Place Finish at Oak Terrace

The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team finished second of 10 teams at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Oak Terrace Invitational.

 

The Eagles finished with a two-round total of 624 (311-313) narrowly defeating Lewis University by one stroke to take possession of second place after being tied with the Flyers after round one. The hosting University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons won by leading the event wire-to-wire beating USI by 16 strokes. 

Senior Anastasia Carter (Granger, Indiana) earned her second top-five finish of the fall by placing third with a two-round total 148 (76-72). Also finishing in the top 10 was senior Brittanie Garrison (Evansville, Indiana) in eighth with a 154 (77-77) shooting rounds of 77 both days and junior Allison Koester(Wadesville, Indiana) shot a 155 (73-82) to finish in a tie for ninth. 

 

The Eagles return to action next weekend, October 17-18, at the GLVC Fall Preview in Waterloo, Illinois at Annbriar Golf Course.Â
